After a few months, my filter bars went down to 1 and it was flashing — time to replace the two filters.
Replaced filters, then couldn’t immediately figure out how to reset the filter life to 100%.
The filter reset slider on the Smart Life app was greyed out.
Found comments about “in standby mode” hold down the filter symbol for 3 seconds until it beeps.
The problem is it took me awhile of experimentaiton to get it into “standby mode”.
Here is how it is done…
Turn the device off and unplug the power (or do this as part of the new filter installation).
When you plug it back in, you’ll see on the panel that it is in an unusual mode.
That’s the “standby mode” and during this time you can hold down the filter indicator for 3 seconds, get a beep, and see the bars all restored.
By the way, when the bars went to 1 with flashing and I got around to replacing the filters a few days later, they were VERY covered with dust. Definitiely timely to replace them.
I suggest wearing an N95 or KN95 mask while doing the replacement and the disposal of the old filters.
And keeping at least one pair of filters on hand.

This filter works amazingly. It has two filters on the sides, which increases the amount of air it can take it without the need to increase air pressure, so essentially, it’s quieter than most while cleaning the air effectively.
The filters are located in the bottom (need to remove plastic wrap), and easy to install. With two filters, you get a large surface area for the compact size of this air purifier. The price of filters are normal, and not too expensive. It’s currently $27 for the two filters.
So far, this functions well and is easy to use. The app is also great feature to have, especially if you don’t want to manually walk up to the air purifier each time – such as laying down in bed and too lazy to move!
I’d definitely recommend this air purifier. It cleans the air well (visibly less dust and less visible sun rays through the window, meaning less particles in the air). One of the best features is how quiet this fan is. I’m assuming this is due to the two filters it has on the sides, so it doesn’t have to funnel air as forcefully to get the same air to cycle through it as compared to other similarly sized units.

I have asthma and I also have cats…yeah yeah don’t ask… the cats stay. So I have bought many air purifiers and I must say this Priestley Air Purifier is probably the best I have bought! From day 1 I was very impressed with how well it freshened my bedroom. I waited another 7 days before I decided to write this review…so YES this is a great buy! It does a very good job of cleaning the air, getting rid of room odors efficiently and quietly! At max fan speed the sound is noticeable but still unobtrusive. At lowest speed you could hardly hear it, perfect for when sleeping or watching tv. Replacement of filters is easy with clear instructions. It comes with features like wifi, timer, and best of all it uses the Smart Life App. I can control it using my phone remotely! Another reason to buy, this Priestley Air Purifier is priced at its lowest in 30 days!
