- Our dehumidifier removes up to 35 pints (50 Pint 2012 DOE Standard) of water from the air per day. This moisture-removing beast is fit for any basement, cellar or large room, so it quickly and effectively absorbs moisture without racking up your energy bill.
- That most dehumidifiers are clunky eyesores is news to nobody. We designed with the modern consumer in mind: a sleek clean look, convenient built-in wheels and handles, and a quiet fan that won’t drown out your current binge-watching obsession. Durability is key, too, which is why we offer a 1-year warranty only (plus an additional 1 year if the customer registered the product)
- Dehumidifiers don’t need to be complicated, so ours isn’t. Adjust to your ideal moisture setting, then let it run its continuous 24-hour cycle until the tank is full, at which point it will automatically shut-off. Don’t got time for that? There’s also a drain hose outlet for continuous draining. The hose is not included; we recommend a ⅝” diameter garden hose with an internal threaded end, and optionally Teflon tape for extra security.
- Moist is a bad word. Our portable dehumidifier reduces moisture through its built-in pump compressor. It also features a Turbo mode that increases fan speed from Normal Air CFM 165 (cubic feet per minute) to High Air CFM 188 for maximum moisture removal
- Dehumidifiers emit heat when in use (that’s how they absorb the moisture). This product won’t work in the same room as an evaporative cooler, and is intended for spaces between 1,500 and 3,000 SQ FT. It measures 15.4 x 11 x 24.3 inches, has a 1.8 gallon water tank capacity, and removes up to 35 pints of moisture from the air per day.

I found this dehumidifier works well. The noise level is fine. I have it in the basement, so it is not really a factor, but I am not sure I would have it in my bedroom and on when I wanted to sleep. It appears to drain well and I use a hose to drain directly to a drain pipe in the basement so I never have to worry about the container filling up.
A perfectly good product and works as required.

Humidity sensor reads about 10% higher than reality. And is not energy star, and not energy efficient, especially considering the small size of the unit (1000 sqft size). It seems to come on way too often, and for way too long given the humidity reading is under what is set. It uses as much as my midea 35pt/3500sqft unit. Other than these two things, this is a really really good dehumidifier. Controls and timer work really well. Water container is small, but what do you expect for such a small unit. Really like the size, and is really quiet for a dehumidifier. Works well for the slightly larger than 1000sqft area it’s in for us. Not fond of the loud beeping–wish there were a way to turn it off completely.

I have this in the basement of a 100 year old house w/ a stone foundation (dampness is a given). What I like about this dehumidifier vs. a similar one I was using, is the fact that it knocks down the humidity quickly then shuts off completely, while still monitoring the humidity level to alert it when the need to turn on again becomes necessary. My previous unit seemed to run more or less constantly to acheive the same 50% humidity level. I like the pump setup where the clear hose mounts to a cap that screws onto the back of the unit, providing easy access and ability to clean or clear any blockage that could occur down the road (my previous unit had this tiny diameter, opaque hose that would clog).

Works great for our basement. Keeps it nice and dry. Bought the hose that was advertised with the unit and that was a waste of money. The hose did not fit and we needed to get parts to make it fit. The hose was for a high pressure washer. Should have bought the display gadget that was advertised for about $20.00. All in all great machine and does what was promised.

Great product. No issues so far this product runs well.

Competitively priced, acceptable sound (not too loud as some reviews mentioned, but my unit is 4500 sq foot size model for large home and basement applications, and it’s in our basement)
Works SUPER EFFICIENTLY, we empty it 2 times every day and our basement is at a walkout level meaning 1 of 4 cement walls is not underground. With all the rain we’ve had in MI this year it was reported that we had 5” of rain during the month of June alone which is much higher than MI normal June rainfall calculations. However, on Saturday July 24 there was a torrential rain storm with 4 tornadoes to surrounding towns between 10 and 40 miles surrounding my town and in the 25 years I’ve lived in my home which has heavily wooded and hilly topography in our subdivision where the home lots average 1/2 acre, we had so much rain it was unbelievable. It was reported to be 4” of rain in just under 45 minutes of time. My back lot which is hilly and wooded had a 3 foot-wide swale of water rushing across my property, even going uphill at times to finally be redirected and emptied into a huge culvert running under the side street on my property’s western border. I have a corner lot and that rushing water was truly shocking to observe! My dehumidifier has been operating just AWESOME keeping up with all our surrounding soggy yard from on top of our grass, but also underground as well. Our soil also contains a lot of clay, making run-off and soil reabsorption even more of a challenge this year.
My unit arrived within the estimated delivery expectations and even though the box had an area on one corner where the box was smashed in a bit, the dehumidifier was extremely well packaged so thankfully there was no damage to our unit. My husband assembled the parts and wheels with ease and he reported that it was easy to set up for your individual personalized setting choices as well. This dehumidifier comes with a one-year manufacturer warranty, but if you register your unit online at hOmeLabs.com website you qualify for an additional 6 months of Warranty coverage through the hOmeLabs manufacturer. Additionally, you have 30 days after purchase to decide if you would like to purchase any additional third-party warranty coverage as well. What has me on the fence regarding buying additional product coverage is two-fold. First, one of the third-party insurers starts their 2-years Warranty beginning on the date of the product purchase, so hence; their coverage runs concurrently with the manufacturer warranty which in my opinion is stupid AND in the other third-party insurer coverage it is not “clearly stated,” nor can anyone answer my question about who pays the “return shipping” fees if this product has to be sent out for repairs and if I’m recalling correctly I seem to remember that this dehumidifier weighs about 30 to 40 pounds. So if it’s the homeowner who has to pay return shipping fees to get it to someplace to be repaired those return costs will be exorbitant, so probably not worth buying additional extended warranty coverage. But it’s available to buy if the customer chooses too. Overall I’m extremely impressed and pleased at the functioning of this dehumidifier, I’m just hoping it’s going to keep operating this efficiently for several years. We take care of our products so if you do the required maintenance and keep the filters washed and cleaned as directed it should last for many seasons. In Michigan I only have to run it during the months when my furnace isn’t in use since the months that my furnace runs totally keeps any potential dampness from Spring rains or Winter snowfall dampness from developing in my basement.
I do highly recommend this product as we’ve had it in use around 3 weeks to date and not a speck of wetness, or any damp smells or musty odors at all can be identified at all…. And I have a nose like a hawk when it comes to noticing anything like that in my lower level PERIOD. So far, so good! Great purchase all around!!! It’s built for large 4500 sq foot areas but obviously it also is working totally and equally efficient inside my basement cedar closet too, so perfect for small spaces in my very large sq foot overall basement space!!!

Works great, not huge, low noise, easy move about if required….and takes care of the basement humidity…clothes not damp like before when hung to dry -i recommend. Oh hose sold separately, does not come with hose which is odd.

For years I had a bathroom that was plagued with black mold due to excessive humidity. The little dots would appears along the tops of the walls shortly after I’d scrubbed them or painted over them, and then bloom into larger rosettes within weeks. We tried squirting bleach at them, we scrubbed them routinely, and they went away only to appear again a few weeks later. We tried leaving the door open to let some of the humidity out, but that meant less privacy. We opened the window in the summertime, and that helped, but in the winter it was far too cold. Then I stumbled across this machine while on vacation at my sister-in-laws house and the solution was clear.
I’m one of those people who obsessively research a major-ish purchase like this before I buy it. I don’t like dropping cash on something that later turns out to be a dud, so I read reviews and comparisons and went and looked a few items in stores. Finally, I bought this machine and it’s terrific. It works effectively and is easy to use. I empty it about once/week and clean the filter on average once/month. I’m very satisfied – if you’re looking for a good, quality dehumidifier with great customer support look no further.
UPDATE 2/10/19: My original unit stopped working after a few months so I reached out to HOmelabs and they substituted it for free. The replacement has been chugging away for nearly a year now without any issues – faithfully sucking the moisture out of the air and drying out my steamy bathroom. Best of all – ZERO black mold. Love this unit and would highly recommend both the appliance and the brand.
UPDATE 7/6/20: this little beast is still going strong. Sucks the humidity out of the bathroom in the winter and then moves to the basement in the summer. Runs 25/7/365 without complaint or missing a beat. Pretty economical to run, too. Would recommend and buy another whenever the time comes.
UPDATE 5/14/22: This little champ is still going after nearly five years. It runs daily, faithfully dehumidifying our bathroom which sees 3-4 steaming hot showers per day (kids have grown into smelly teenagers since we’ve had this thing). I haven’t seen mold in so long I’ve forgotten what it looks like. About to pull the trigger on buying another unit for the basement over the summer, which will then replace the original on the bathroom/basement rotation when it eventually has to “go play with its friends on a farm upstate” someday.
UPDATE 7/31/23: This thing is truly the energizer bunny of dehumidifiers. It’s getting a little noisier and perhaps a little less efficient but after 5.5 years of non-stop service it has held up extremely well for a consumer grade appliance. I still haven’t subbed it out for a new one (probably will do so as we get back into fall and the bathroom window closes). When I do getting another one of these will be the easiest decision of the year.

I like the option to either use a hose attachment to drain from or use the reservoir drawer to drain from. I like the quiet relative to the last dehumidifier that we owned.
