First of all – this is the fourth single-room intended air filter I’ve bought in the last year. The other 3, one was another Levoit, a white round one that is about as tall as this one, to sit behind my two monitors on my desk. The other two are by Airtok, half as tall as the Levoit, black and round as well.
I am not dissatisfied with any of them, but the round design on the other 3 was proving just a bit too space consuming so I was looking for a slimmer design.
This Levoit design is perfect and meets that needs.
BUT THEN! holy cow – everything else about the Smart Vital 100s is amaaaaazing! I knew it was bluetooth/wifi enabled and came with an app for remote connectivity, but I had no idea it was going to be so easy to setup and manage!! From box open to first run – about 3 minutes to complete the setup. No tools needed, no difficult to open packaging – just removal of some protective plastic wrapping and about 20 seconds to setup the app.
It measures the air quality automagically – and after having completed that setup yesterday around 8pm, it has come on AUTOMAGICALLY and cleaned the air 5 times without me having to do anything. The app gives a report of the air monitoring, detection, cleaning, etc. It’s 11am now the next morning and its already done more for me on its own that the other systems ever did. And on it’s own. Love it.
The app deserves it own entire review because it is far more than I expected it to be. I assumed it would be a basic bluetooth management app, basically to turn the system on/off. But seriously it’s wild. Wellness sections, air quality during sleep modes, quality triggers, alert management, schedules for different control settings at different times, device controls for different rooms and all that stuff for each device. They really put thought and time into the app. Warranty management and part ordering from the app as well. It’s like the Echo device management in Alexa app, or the HP Smart app- you can pretty much do everything you need and more from inside the VeSync app.
It looks sharp, too. Very tech, smooth, minimal design – all controls on top with LED touch control. Smart smart smart. I am totally happy with this purchase. The only possible improvement they could make would be the same feedback the world has on any of these small appliance devices – universal power cabling would be great. Then I could get whatever length power cable I needed for whatever room. But that’s true for all sorts of things like desk fans, coffee makers, etc etc. SO that’s not really on Levoit and that’s what power strips are for. But literally that’s all I could possible think of. Everything about this is easy easy easy and smart.

The LEVOIT Air purifier works wonderful! We are animal lovers and have several. The air purifier notifies me if the air quality gets low and will ask if I want to adjust the fan to clean it faster. There is also the option to keep it on auto. It will adjust as needed to keep your air clean. I have had it for over 2 months and have no complaints. The air quality is great! Cleaning the pre filter is so easy. The app is user friendly. The fan is not overly loud to me on high. I find white noise relaxing. But on the lowest setting I can not hear it at all. I have to walk up to it in order to fill the air coming out of it to know it is on. If you have it on auto and it is dark in the room there is a setting for the lights to be off. This lowers the fan and is almost non-existent sound. I highly recommend this fan for the price and quality for anyone looking at getting an air purifier. My best friend ordered one after I told her how much I loved mine!

Have had this for a while now, and it works well. I have had a few times when perhaps things have gotten a little too carried away in the kitchen and this has stepped up a notch or two and cleaned out the air.
The app is reasonably well designed, but I prefer to integrate this with Home Assistant and control it from there or on the device itself. The app does log you out all the time.
I like that there are two filters, one that you can clean and one that needs replacement every 6 months or so.
This device is whisper quiet most of the time – and I have it running all the time. It connects to WiFi and is also very light and easy to move from room to room if you need to.

This air filter is by far the most efficient one I have found to date! I have had different brands, sizes, price points from $50-700 and This Air Filter has done the best job out of ALL of them by a long shot!
As a family with allergies as well as animals…I am always trying to find room air filters to help keep allergens down, from dust to animal hair.
I cannot say enough good things about this one. It is a Great Value for the money, exceptional quality, Fantastic Allergy relief and minimal noise (more like a nice quiet white noise).
The air smells cleaner!! I have had it for a couple of months now, and it runs 24/7– Totally worth 5 Stars!! I’m going to get a few more to put in other rooms (i.e. where the animals are most often and bedrooms!)

I bought the Vital 100S.
Like many reviewers of this product, I purchased it because the wildfire smoke had infiltrated my house. I never ever thought that I would be “that” person – someone who needed their own atmosphere! But the irritation in my nose and throat motivated me to buy this unit for my well-being.
The reasons I chose this model are: the true HEPA, of course! Also the 3-stage filter. The CADR was good for the size of my rooms (I have open concept on the main floor, and a vaulted ceiling upstairs) the pre-filter is cleanable and I like the fact that I can also get specialized filters for Pet, Toxin and Smoke (in case things get really crazy!). The reviews are excellent and the price is right. I am seriously considering buying another of Levoit’s units for the upstairs!
I have not used any of the “connected” features so I cannot comment on those.
The unit is easy to unpack and I was able to start using it immediately. It is very presentable; it’s also light enough to be portable because I’ve been moving it from room to room (when the wind shifts sometimes the smoke comes into a different part of the house). It’s super easy to use; I love the control panel, you just tap on it to turn it on, set the fan strength, and activate the timer. The first 2 fan settings are so quiet that I can barely hear that the unit is on. The third setting is a little louder but it IS moving a lot of air after all! I’ve only had it 2 weeks so haven’t had to clean it or change the filter.
One thing I didn’t consider thoroughly was the placement of the unit. In order to work properly any air purifier needs to be kind of in the middle of things. Proper placement of an air purifier is between 3 and 5 feet off the ground, with about 3 feet of open space around it. Luckily, the 100S fits well with my decor and is light enough to put on a table or my bookshelves. I was worried that it might vibrate a lot and eventually shake itself off the table but it’s staying put quite well.
So far, I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I have been using this air purifier for a few months now (April to June) and it has been great. I have noticed a significant decrease in dust particles in the air. Where I live we often have wildfires during spring and summer, so far it’s done a great job of purifying any smoke that makes its way into the house. This model is easy to take apart and clean, the filters are very simple to replace. The phone app works great and let’s me control the device even when I’m not home. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to others.

I like the size and easy-to-use features. The sensor quickly detects air quality from cooking and jumps into high gear to reduce particles. The only feature I do not like is the app. It requests too much personal information / tracking for my comfort. This results in the loss of some features.
