This is THE BEST dehumidifier! I’d give 10 stars if I could! It’s efficient, quiet, easy to use, long lasting. This the 2nd unit I’ve purchased. The original unit ran 24/7/365 in our basement bedroom and family room for (almost) 4 years before it started to slow down. 4 years, never turned off! It’s a little more expensive than other units but it is absolutely worth it. The water bucket is the perfect size. Easy to handle and empty. But it if you need a dehumidifier that works and lasts.

I’ve had the 150 Pints Most Efficient Energy Star Dehumidifier for several months now, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance. Living in a large house with high humidity levels has always been a challenge, but this dehumidifier has made a noticeable difference. It handles my 7,500 sq. ft. space effortlessly, keeping the air dry and comfortable even during the most humid days. One of the best features is its efficiency. It’s Energy Star certified, so I feel confident that it’s not only doing an excellent job but also helping me save on energy costs. The unit is quiet, and I can barely hear it running in the background, which is a huge plus, especially when compared to some of the noisy models I’ve used before.
The front LCD display is very user-friendly, providing all the necessary information at a glance. It’s easy to navigate through the settings and customize the dehumidifier’s performance to fit my needs. I love how modern it looks too, blending seamlessly into any room without looking bulky or out of place. Overall, I would highly recommend this dehumidifier to anyone with a large space looking for efficient and reliable humidity control.
My only real complaint is with the built-in humidity reader. While the dehumidifier works great, the humidity sensor seems to have trouble providing accurate readings. I’ve compared the display on the unit to my external hygrometer, and the numbers often don’t match up. Sometimes the unit shows a significantly higher or lower humidity level than what is actually present in the room. This discrepancy makes it difficult to adjust the settings accurately, especially when trying to maintain a specific humidity level.
It’s frustrating because for a unit of this quality and price range, I expected more precision in the humidity reading. I’ve had to rely on external humidity meters to double-check, which somewhat defeats the purpose of having an all-in-one device. If the humidity reader were more accurate, this would easily be a 5-star product, but this flaw detracts from its overall convenience.

My finished basement is maybe 1200sqft…..I assumed this unit was over sized for my needs. After a week of use the unit cannot get the humidity level below 47% ……its set for 40%? I had a different manufacturer model for several years which gave up the ghost so i needed a new unit. It worked very well. After a year it sounds like a tank….very noisy.

I moved into my uncles home in October (inheritance blessing )and he had a Frigidaire dehumidifier in the basement that was of concern .I was always worried when I left the house the unit would blow up break down because the noise was way too loud .I would unplug the unit every time I left the house for more than a few hours which was inconvenient .I exercise in my basement with the TV on and would need to put the volume on high so I could hear the television !
I decided to purchase a Kesnos unit .It was an easy installation process and came with an easy to understand user manual .
The noise level was like night and day .I could not believe the difference between the Frigidaire and the Kesnos dehumidifier in more than just the noise
.Besides the worrisome noise issue ,my clothes from the laundry drying on hangers always had a musty smell when drying.Now with this Kesnos unit ,the clothes are not damp anymore .Everything smells better, there is no musty odor at all.
I never write reviews but I am so happy with this dehumidifier I felt compelled to write a review .My brother bought the same unit for his basement and told me it has high quality seals and has the energy efficient Star which is important to save money .
I put the unit on low and it does an amazing job with an automatic shut off switch which for me is important.
The value for the money is well worth buying ,it covers 5500sq feet which is more than enough for my basement .
I highly recommend this unit ,it’s easy to use and has a nice looking design, its lightweight and has casters on the bottom so you can easily move the unit to another room .
