I am absolutely in love with this air purifier! I have a golden retriever and two cats that leave my space full of hair and dander. I also have pretty extreme seasonal and year round allergies. This thing has been a lifesaver. It has been the perfect thing to add to my Home office and works quickly to clear the air. I don’t quite know how to describe it with the air feels thinner, and very clean. I can also leave it on constantly during work, calls, yoga, and meditation, as it is relatively noiseless. If you turn it on its highest setting, it will sound like the low setting of a ceiling fan. It is insanely easy to use as long as you read over the buttons and know what them do , The rest is child’s play. Again, it is the perfect size for my office and looks very nice on my shelf. Its leak design is very minimalistic and feels luxurious in the space! I couldn’t recommend this more!!

This little purifier exceeded my expectations, and I have no reticence about giving it a 5-star rating.
I got it to deal with l’odeur du chat (IE cat smell) in a property that’s up for sale. The previous occupant had 3 cats, and the first thing that greets visitors to the property is the distinctive smell of cat. That’s not the best way to make a first impression on prospective purchasers.
I set the air purifier up in a corner of the living room and ran it on high for a few days. The activated charcoal filter did a good job reducing the odour. My real estate agent remarked positively the first time she visited after it had been running for a couple of days. Mission accomplished!
It has a great set of features, particularly a built-in PM2.5 sensor. A big display on the control panel displays real-time PM2.5 level, and the unit can be configured to adjust the fan speed depending on the measured air quality. That will be a good feature to have the next time wildfire smoke comes to town.
At the lowest fan speed, it is extremely quiet. I haven’t tested using in a bedroom, but I don’t think it would keep me awake.
It’s powered from a standard 5 VDC USB power supply. That makes it attractive for off-grid applications where 110 VAC isn’t available but a battery supply might be (camping, RVs, etc).
Like pretty much everything these days, it can integrate with an app. Clarston doesn’t provide an app of their own, but has integrated the air purifier with the “Smart Life” app, one of many home automation apps on the market. The app is not required to use the purifier – most of the various features can be accessed using the top-panel controls. However, once it’s configured to connect with the app, you can control/manage the purifier from anywhere your smartphone has internet service. I’m not sure why you’d want to change the fan speed (or turn off the night light) from halfway around the world, but you can do so using the app as long as the purifier is connected to WiFi. That means that as part of integration with the app, the Clarston unit is connected to the internet and is sharing who knows what personal information with servers in China. According to the Smart Life listing on the Apple App Store, the app may share your location, user content, usage data, contact info and personal identifiers. Personally, I’d be leery about having this (or any other IOT device) permanently connected to my primary LAN at home, nor having the app living on my smartphone.
Fortunately, the app is not required to use it. If you’re looking for a compact efficient air purifier, this is a good choice.

Our computers are easily the most expensive appliances in our house. We live on an old lake bed so dust is insane, we also have 3 double coated dogs so hair is also insane , there is a fireplace in the same room (open plan house), and last but not least, our house is on an acreage so a lot of pollen. Needless to say, the need to blowout the PCs to maintain performance is constant.
As our house is open plan, this filter is too small to do the whole room but I just need to clean the air before it gets to the computer fan intakes so I have this air purifier set up where the main pathway to room is.
The fan is very quiet, can’t even hear it over the PC fans.
The quality sensor seems to respond to what is happening in the house. When the dogs have the zoomies the air quality shows as being less than when there is no movement in the area. (Our Samoyed is currently shedding and there is always dust and pollen coming in with the wind when the dogs use their doggie door.)
The filter makes sense for what it is for: A plastic/nylon mesh that will catch hair, foam layer for general particles and that pleated white layer that gets the fine particles.
I looked up filters for replacement and found them on Amazon for $26 CAD. I find that a bit spendy BUT I am an older person (everything seems expensive now) AND it is post pandemic AND they are decently made filters AND $26 is a lot cheaper than replacing most of the PC components that could blow due to air debris build up.
I haven’t used it very long yet but so far, very happy with this purifier.
As a last, note. I did not install the app for this as I do not need remote access plus I take issue with companies that want all your information for a device that you are using solely within your home. Yes, they do have guest access but not sure how long you can you use that for and to be honest, couldn’t be bothered as for me it was pretty much set it up how I wanted it and then let if run.

works great in a small area for the price We bought it to help the 3000 sq ft unit we have for the whole house. this little unit works great in the bedroom.

This compact air purifier has several settings. One of my personal favourites is the light switch combined with night mode. Small lights at night drive me insane.
We recently moved into a new place. There was a strong oil paint smell, dust from sanding and inputting floors etc. i set this up and over the day, it went from 8-3. It now varies from 2-3. As someone with asthma, allergies and pets. This is great to have.
My only criticism is the cord length. Its recommended to be away from the wall. I find in order to meet this requirement, i almost run out of cord.

* Overall Impression:
-This is a good value for a smaller sized HEPA air filter purifier that covers a fairly large area of space and has a lot of nice features that make it easy to use.
* Pros-what I liked and what worked well:
-Good value for the quality, features, smaller size and replaceable filters.
-Good quality, well made.
-Smaller size, it’s not overly large, heavy or bulky and doesn’t take up much space.
-Rated for spaces up to 650 square feet (length multiplied by width of room equals square feet).
-It can cover an area up to 650 square feet circulating and filtering the air in that area once every 60 minutes. (It will run continuously, but takes that long to circulate the air.)
-It can cover an area of up to 325 square feet circulating and filtering the air in that area once every 30 minutes.
-3 filters, a H13 true HEPA filter with activated carbon and a pre-filter for a 3 stage filtration system.
-The pre-filter traps larger particles such as fur. The H13 filter captures smaller airborne particles. The activated carbon filter is for odors.
-Replaceable filters available. (You get all 3 filters together when you get a replacement filter, they’re built together, you don’t have to buy them separately.)
-It will remind you when it’s time to replace the filter.
-Filter life: the lesser of on average 2000 use hours (ran 24 hours a day it would be 83 days) or 5-8 months.
-360 degree air intake (in a circle on all sides).
-Has an in-real time air quality monitor feature with a high precision laser dust sensor rated to detect dust particles.
-Has an intelligent auto mode to adjust the fan speed based on the air quality detected in real time. It will adjust the fan higher or lower as needed, depending on the air quality in the room.
-4 fan speeds: low, medium, high, turbo
-Color coded for air quality with a different color for good, moderate or bad air quality. It will show you how your air quality is with this feature during use.
-On/off button adjustment.
-Rated to help with: odors, dust, pollen, pet dander and smoke.
-Quiet with a sleep mode of under 24 DB. Even without this on the highest fan setting, it’s quite quiet. It’s like a small fan or computer desktop with several fans. It can provide a little ambient sleep noise, but it’s not going to block everything out like an older, loud air purifier will. I have an old air purifier I use for sleep, just for that purpose, you can run it and won’t be able to hear anything outside your room during sleep, it blocks it all out. If you are wanting something like that, this one isn’t going to do that. However, if you don’t want distracting or noise blocking, this one is going to be great.
-Sleep mode will also turn off the light so it doesn’t bother you during sleep.
-You can use the Smart Life to control it with your phone or tablet. You can use it without the app as well. I didn’t need to use the app and didn’t and it operates fine without it. Note that if you use the app it will connect it with Wifi to the app and your Wifi network. If you have a limited number of devices your network can handle and don’t need the app, you may not want to, as it will use some of your WiFi. For example, my Wifi mesh system, a Deco system can only, for example handle 50 WiFi connections. With electronics, phones, computers, household devices, smart devices and security, I’m at 30 already and don’t want to add more if I don’t need to keep it open for future items I need to add. I think where the app will help is for scheduling.
-Has a timed use button on it (not mentioned or shown in the description). When you turn it on it’s on automatic, continuous monitoring, self adjusting mode. You can leave it in that mode, but press the timer button (looks like a clock) and set it to run for 2, 4 or 8 hours (the app can be set for 1-12 hours) and then it will turn off. It will run until turned off unless you set a timer.
-Size:
10.6 inches wide across
7.9 inches depth, front to back
8.1 inches tall
-Good size for desktop, counter-top or nightstand use. It’s not overly large or heavy.
-Plugs into a standard electrical outlet.
-Can be USB powered with your own USB power-bank or power source for portable use. It is not rechargeable or portable for use on it’s own without an electrical or USB power source.
-Instructions included.
* Cons-what I didn’t like and what didn’t work well:
-When I opened it I thought the power cord and plug were missing. They weren’t, they were inside the filter canister area with the filter. You’ll need to twist open the filter cover in the base, underside of the device and remove the power cord and USB plug in to use it. This is a frustrating way to place it and I imagine many people, like myself will think the cord is missing and not think to look there. I didn’t, it was my husband who suggested it and he was correct.
* Tips & Thoughts:
-Be sure and check that it will be large enough to handle the room, space or area it’s in.
-Measure the length and width of your room and multiply the length times width to get your square feet.
-If your square feet is over the recommended square feet for this air purifier, you may need more than one in the space or one larger and rated to handle your area’s square footage.
-You will need to regularly clean your filters for dust, and replace them as needed.
-The replacement filter is going to be fairly easy to find and fairly reasonably priced. The listing lists the filter model as B0D21Rl56. You can search Amazon for the filter by that number and it will show a compatible filter.
-Be sure and put it in an area where all sides can get free airflow. You don’t want it right up against a wall, if you need to place it near a wall, leave it away from the wall. Read the instructions on where and how to place it.
-Note that it is just an air purifier. It doesn’t have a fan mode or cooling, heating, humidifying or dehumidifying mode.
-You may want to also save, print or refer to the listing pictures and details for use instructions and tips.

Clarston Air Purifier Review.
The air purifier arrived well-packaged with the power adapter and cable tucked inside the filter canister. When this air purifier is turned on, the first notable feature is its large circular touch display. Some icons are self-explanatory, while others will have you referencing the user manual (as I did) for clarification. The user manual is well-written and you won’t need a magnifying glass to read text or view pictorials.
For power, the air purifier uses what looks like a phone charging adapter. The adapter is USB-A and the power cord is USB-A to USB-C. The power cord measures 102.2 cm – 1.02 m (or 40.25 inches) in length allowing the air purifier to be placed anywhere access to power is located. The adapter is rated for 10 watts, while the air purifier draws 8 watts. The adapter does get warm during prolonged use, but this does not affect the performance of the air purifier.
The fan operation on the first three speeds is whisper quiet. The fourth turbo speed mode is slightly louder but blends in with background noise, making it difficult to hear. I like that the air purifier’s illuminated display can be turned on or off while running. The light emitted from the display is not overly bright, but the option is there.
There is an app (Smart Life) that can be used with this air purifier. For those concerned about app permissions, the air purifier can operate without the app. I use the app because I have a robot vacuum cleaner that uses the same app and cannot be operated without it.
It is refreshing to see the seller provide an ASIN number (B0D21R7L56) for replacement filters for this device. I haven’t ordered any yet, but they look the same as what is in the air purifier. The filter is easily replaced by following the imprinted instructions on the base. A slight turn to the left unlocks the canister base, while a slight turn to the right locks the canister base. The user manual provides further instructions for cleaning the air purifier before installing a new filter.
Sourcing information from the user manual, a filter icon on the display illuminates in red when it’s time to replace the filter. The filter’s service life is approximately 2000 hours or slightly under three months.
The filter has three stages – a pre-filter to capture hair and fur, an H13 HEPA filter to trap airborne particles, and an activated carbon filter that absorbs unwanted odours and fumes. It gets more scientific when fine particulate matter is defined as particles that are 2.5 microns or less in diameter (PM2.5). The PM2.5 icon is below the Wi-Fi symbol, while the µg/m3 icon is on the lower right side of the air quality countdown numerals. µg/m3 represents micrograms (one-millionth of a gram) per cubic meter of air.
My living space is under 650 square feet. I have to cook in this area and this air purifier does an excellent job at removing odours. Scents of fried or baked foods and aromatics are completely removed after several hours of the air purifier operating in turbo fan mode. After the odours have disappeared, I set the fan speed to low and set a timer for 2 hours. The timer has three settings: 2, 4 and 8 hours and off.
In conclusion, I am satisfied with this product. This air purifier is for smaller areas which works well for me. At the time of writing this review, there is a $30 coupon available. This product earns five stars out of five!

Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): This affordable HEPA air purifier offers impressive performance, handling spaces up to 650 square feet with features like an air quality display, front-facing sensor, and optional WiFi connectivity.
For the price, this little machine is a great find. It came well-packaged, the setup was straightforward, and the footprint it occupies is small. The filter is located at the bottom of the unit, and replacements are easily available on Amazon.
I appreciate the air quality display, especially since the sensor is in the front of the unit. Many other models place the sensor in the back, which can affect accuracy if placed near a wall.
Things to Note:
-Bedroom Use: If you prefer a completely dark room, the “lights off mode” allows you to turn off all the lights on the machine while it continues to run.
-WiFi Setup: The WiFi setup can be a bit tricky. I had to add it manually, but once connected, it makes controlling the settings easier. However, WiFi is not necessary to access the machine’s features.
-The power cord is a USB C to A cable and it’s rather short (see my picture)
Overall, for its price, this purifier delivers excellent performance and simplicity. If you’re looking for a straightforward HEPA air purifier with an air quality sensor and WiFi app access, this is a solid choice.

we have this setup in our kitchen. It has worked well to knock out some of the food smells that tend to linger after cooking a meal. The air is noticeably fresher in our kitchen and connected dining room.
The air purifier is noticeable when it’s running, but not disruptively so. It is easy to set up and use. Note that the power supply is inside of the filter housing.
The top panel allows you to see how contaminated your air quality is. There have been times that my wife was cooking and the air purifier would detect high levels in the air and the ring light would turn yellow and red with readings as high as 100.
This is a good quality air purifier.

I picked this up for the bedroom because for whatever reason the ac wall unit in this bedroom seems to pickup a lot of dust so I that alleviate some of this so it reduces the amount getting into this ac or better yet in our lungs. So far so good seems to perform & we are finding ourselves not having to clean that units filter as often, it’s only been a few weeks so I will continue to monitor it. It’s a fairly quiet and that also depends on the fan level of course like anything. As for connecting it to the phone app I have not been successful there and I have all sorts of smart home stuff so it’s not my first rodeo but I’m putting that on hold for now, if I ever do have luck with that I will update this but until then can’t speak much for it.

Fantastic air purifier! It works great for our family with a cat. It effectively eliminates pet odors and allergens, leaving our home fresh and clean. Highly recommend for pet owners!

As already stated I love this air purifier by Clarston.
I live on the ground floor of an apartment located in a city with construction going on all around me. This causes SO much dust it’s insane. In addition, I have 2 indoor cats who use 2 litter boxes with clay litter & even though the boxes have hoods, they still generate a lot of dust. It’s a real problem. There’s also cat fur & dander all over the place. So, if there was a list of people who REALLY need an air purifier, I’d certainly be close to the top of the list.
So because of what I described about my situation above, I’m very pleased that this machine has a “High Precision Laser Dust Sensor” which “Efficiently Detects PM2.5 Particles in the Air”.
I had to research what “PM” in relation to dust meant & it stands for “Particulate Matter”. PM2.5 particulate matter is extremely small in size, so easy to breathe in, lots of it, & without being aware that you’re doing it or the effect it may be having on your health.
I appreciate the ease of use of the machine. There is a phone app option which I don’t really use but I’m always glad of having a choice or option.
I’m also very happy with this device’s “Intelligent Auto Mode” which automatically adjusts the fan speed based on the real time air quality – the light will show Green for safe, Yellow for caution, & Red for well, it’s not good.
I like the fact that it has a true HEPA filter and that the seller has had the consideration to list the ASIN number (makes it very easy to find something on Amazon) of the replacement filter. They recommend that the filter be changed after 3 to 6 months or after 2000 hours of usage.
I like the customizable settings giving you the choice of 4 fan speeds (Low, Medium, High, & Turbo) & the option to set a timer, & having a night time setting without the light if you wish it to be off.
I like how compact & unobtrusive this device is.
I like that it has a 1 year warranty for peace of mind.
I’ve been using this air purifier for just over a month now & I can’t think of a thing that I can criticise, not even constructively. That MAY change when filter changing time comes & if I encounter issues worth mentioning at the time, I will most certainly be back to edit &/or update.
The current selling price for this air purifier is $89.99 (which I think is well worth the price for THIS machine) however, at the time of this writing there is a $30 off coupon! So, if you were considering a purchase, right now would be the time to do it. However, as I already said, I find the regular asking price of $90 worth every cent.
I hope this helped you & good luck with your purchase & your health!
Note: The use of capital letters were for emphasis only.
