The instruction manual left a bit to be desired in my opinion. Pretty informative and all but some grammar errors and at times I wish they were a bit more distinct/clear but all in all I got it set up and running rather quickly. Was unaware from the main product image that there would be a , I believe it said 59″ heat tube that must be run out a window, and furthermore cannot be kinked at a 45° angle. Unit also needs several inches up to a few feet on all sides {ref. Instructions for exact numbers of course} so it sort of requires the unit to be a space hog. Can’t put it flush anywhere and now I’ve got this giant tube to figure out. It does come with a sliding, secured by wing nuts, grey plastic slat that allows you to affix the heat exhaust tube either vertically or horizontally into your window. The remote control requires 2 AAA and I have not used it yet so can’t speak on range.
Unit screen will display the current temperature when initially turned on, but once you switch it into any mode it ceases to. On the dehumidifier mode-please note the plugs on the bag should only be undone and have the tubing either running from top unplugged hole to bottom plugged hole, or from top hole into some sort of bucket/receptacle, only in dehumidifier mode. I forgot to take out the tube and replace the plugs/caps when switching modes from dehumidifier to AC and was puzzled for several minutes by hot blowing out the front and, oddly, cool blowing out the heat exhaust tube. So be mindful of this. If on the fan only setting it will say F1 or F2. On AC, you set the temp and this number will remain displayed. You may have it on fan 1 or fan 2 intensity while on AC, the F1/F2 flashes once when you press it before returning to the ‘goal’ temp displayed. There is a ❄️ symbol to indicate if it is in AC mode. Pretty simple interface to learn, I haven’t really used the remote much. Green numbers/letters on black background. First of this style AC for me so can’t say if it’s the norm, & I referenced the pictures in the manual to make sure but for whatever reason, the left half of the cold air output is blocked/closed off, and appears to be intended to remain fixed that way. Kind of would prefer cool air to come out the whole front. Rather quiet. Makes a swoosh noise.
After several days a week usage over several days, whenever being run going continually on AC set to 30 degrees cooler than the environment, I’d say it works well but has started having an odd judder shudder moment sporadically for several seconds. Be mindful of the heat exhaust. Does a fairly good job, it’s fighting an uphill battle in its location, personally very grateful for it but cannot say I’d get this precise style unit again. Was hoping for something that didn’t require a window, which I why I jumped on a seemingly free-standing,windowless unit. But it pumps out cold air ¯\_(☯෴☯)_/¯

On the plus side, this unit puts out very cold air, in my tests at 82 degrees (F) ambient, it blew 36 degree air consistently. The sound level is low and the compressor engaging is subtle. The manufacturer box is thoughtful in keeping all the parts in good order during transit and it is easy to collect the baffles and such for assembly from the packaging. The instructions are surprisingly readable and helpful. On the minus side, and it is not much of a minus, the display is readable in lower light situations, but in bright light, it is not bright enough in my opinion and the shiny flat plate design leads to a lot of glare and reflection from bright light sources. I imagine it would be fine in lower light areas. I could not notice any control for display contrast or brightness. To read the display, as it is on top and horizontal, you need to more or less stand directly over the unit to read the display, even if using the remote. As the remote has no indicators, you do need the panel to set the device. The touch panel is responsive to light touch. The only other concern I had was the lower condensation port, for the internal resevoir, is very close to the ground and that makes for a challenge to arrange a gravity drain off without making some mess. Still a 5 star portable ac unit.

I use part of my garage as a hobby woodshop. For much of the year it is very hot (but not too humid) in the garage, often over 100°F, which makes it a less than ideal workspace. The benefit is that finishes dry really fast! Finishing is just what I needed to do recently, with a plan for a coat of primer and two topcoats of paint on some bookshelf shelves. If you’ve ever done this you know it is a multi-step process to prime one side, wait for it to dry, then do the other side, then repeat the process for each topcoat. It takes several hours, even with furnace-level temperatures drying everything very quickly.
Making this job a little easier this time around was the Fiogohumi portable air conditioner (model A019BDJ). I started early in the day when the outdoor temperature was lowest, and rigged up the unit to blow the scavenged hot air out the bottom of the garage door. The device included with the unit is designed for a window, so it wasn’t nearly long enough to span the entire garage door, but I blocked the rest of the opening with some wood and this worked OK. At least I didn’t have a 4-inch opening below the door all the way across the garage.
This unit is designed for a much smaller room than my garage, but I set it up so that it would blow directly into the space where I was working. Additionally, I set up a box fan right in front of the cold air outlet to help get the cold air moving into the garage, which was a big help. When I activated the unit my unreliable thermometer inside the garage read 95°F, while the thermometer on the A/C unit read 86°F. In reality it was probably closer to 89°F.
I ran the unit continuously over the next 6 hours or so and the temperature never moved more than 1 degree even though the outside temperature climbed to 102°F with the bright sun beating on my uninsulated, south-facing garage door. I’d say this is pretty good performance from this little unit.
I’ll likely use this device sparingly, as it pulls a lot of current which makes it expensive to operate. However, on those days when I really need to get something done and want a relative level of comfort it will make my workspace more ideal.
This product is made in China.

This isn’t going to be powerful enough for a larger living room or main living area, but for most bedrooms, this is enough AC to get the job done and keep things cool.
