First of all – these are a decent cooler – but read on.
Initially when I opened them, I was disappointed. They scream “generic” complete with the cheesy sticker in huge bold print that says “EVAPORATIVE COOLER” on the top, hate that. Easy enough, pull of the sticker. I filled the unit, and turned it on. It works, but it is extremely over rated. I had two running, with ice in a 3000 square foot building. It wouldn’t drop the temp even a couple degrees – just made it muggy. The cooling mats are not very good. I will replace them with a a higher grade mat, and make them work. But I recommend you buy two sizes larger than what you expect to use.
Also, keep in mind these only work in dry climates. I live in a desert, with 18% relitive humidity. Swamp coolers work here. They won’t above 50% in my experience.

I am a retired 71-year-old, managing several properties in an active adult community in Arizona. I had one of two AC units in a house die. I need it replaced. Unfortunately, after calling several AC installers, I was given a three-to-four-week delay for installation. My tenant’s senior citizens can’t live without AC in Arizona.
So, I went online to find something that could bridge the gap and not break the bank. After several hours of shopping online and comparing lots of options, I purchased the 3531 CFM Evaporative Air Cooler, Mountman Portable Swamp Cooler, 10.6-Gal Tank, 120° Oscillation, 41″ Water Cooler Fan for Indoor and Outdoor Patio, Porch, Yard.
I purchased the unit because of the size of the tank, the fact that it doesn’t need the window venting, making it easy to move room to room, the price is extremely competitive and the fact that Mountman provides a three-year warranty compared to other sellers with a one-year warranty.
PLEASE READ ABOVE ALL THE SELLER’S DISCRIPTION OF THE QUALITIES OF THIS PORTABLE AC UNIT!!!!
It has only been a few days, but my tenants are more than satisfied. This unit will enable them to stay cool. On the positive side, the house has two AC units and the one that covers the main house is still running. The unit that needs to be replaced covers the bedrooms. The new portable AC is in their bedroom, so other than adding water once or twice a day, everything is good.
I am going to order at least one more so there will be no delay if any tenant loses an AC unit. Great inexpensive bridge unit the new unit is installed. Great investment even if you don’t manage houses; I plan to use it in an Arizona room and the master bedroom so I can turn off the air to the AC unit cooling two other bedrooms. GREAT INVESTMENT!

It’s very portable due to the light weight when empty, the pump and design works nice, however after a year of use, the medium and low fan stopped working. I’ve always left it on high but the medium nor low work now. Since idk when but it just shuts off the fan. But the high has a nice breeze to it. Overall worth it for my use. UPDATE: Now the high setting no longer works so therefore the entire thing is useless now. Lasted a little over a year but not worth it.

I really love the design of this product, especially the casters which make it easy to move, the ability to run the fan with or without cooling and/or oscillation, the controls which are well-designed and easy (and even fun) to use, the handy drain plug and (last but not least) no less than three different options for filling the unit with water! You can pour water into the tank via the door provided on the front of the unit. Or you can fill the tank by attaching your garden hose directly to the unit via the connector provided on the side. This option features auto-shutoff via float switch functionality to prevent overfilling of the tank. As such, this presumably also means that you could keep your hose continuously connected to the unit to automatically top off the tank as the water evaporates (but I’m not sure I’d recommend that, especially when the unit is unattended). Finally you can add water directly into the water distribution tray located on the the top of the unit via a large door. In the water distribution tray you’ll also find slots to insert (optionally if desired) the three medium-sized ice packs that come included with the unit. And if you really want to go crazy, there is enough extra room (even with the ice packs installed) to dump a full bag of ice in there as well! Here I should mention that I don’t really know if you’re supposed to be putting ice in there or not, so proceed with caution. What I do know is that with 3 frozen ice packs in there along with another 6 lbs of ice dumped on top of them (for the next half hour or so at least) it’s somehow suddenly September in Texas…THREE MONTHS EARLY!

The swamp cooler arrived earlier than expected. It was extremely well packaged and arrived unharmed. Set up was very simple, the unit has a large 10 plus gallon water tank. It is working extremely well. We are more than satisfied. The fan is powerful and the unit is quieter than expected. It has a significant cooling effect on the main areas of the house. All in all I an extremely satisfied with my purchase so far.

Let me start by saying I live in south Louisiana where humidity is insanely high always. This swamp cooler makes my shop much more bearable in the hot summer. So far I’ve used it only when out in my shop so most afternoons. The ice packs work wonders! I would recommend this unit due to it’s features (ice packs, oscillating vent louvers, 3 speeds, separate controls for fan speed, fan power, water pump power, and master power, auto water fill adapter comes included). Cost the same as I could get a 2,100 CFM unit for here locally. Quick shipping and very responsive customer service. Nothing was wrong with the item, I had received a damaged ice pack. Contacted seller and they sent a replacement out right away.
