- [43-Pound Solid Build with 5 Rows of Copper Tubing] The Gasbye DryPrime dehumidifier pulls up to 115 pints/day at 86°F, 80% RH, 73 pints/day at 80°F, 60% RH, and 50 pints/day at 65°F, 60% RH. Most other dehumidifiers can only manage 52 pints at 86°F, 80% RH—less than half the capacity of this unit. The secret? More copper. More copper means better dehumidifying power and energy efficiency
- [Most Efficient 2024 Energy Star] The DryPrime dehumidifier isn’t just powerful—it’s “Most Efficient 2024” certified. Perfect for large spaces like basements, garages, and living rooms, all while keeping energy costs low. Energy Star Unique ID: 3417537. Note: The “Most Efficient 2023” standard has expired, and many dehumidifiers can’t meet the 2024 requirements. The reason? They simply don’t use enough copper inside
- [Triple Draining Flexibility] Choose from a spacious 1.7Gal tank for manual drainage, an included 5-foot hose for direct connection to floor drains, or an included garden hose adapter for extended disposal with your garden hose
- [Auto-restart] The dehumidifier automatically resumes its previous settings after a power outage
- [𝟱-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲] If you purchased our dehumidifier based on a statement in our listing and feel it doesn’t meet your expectations after use, you can directly contact Gasbye Support for a 𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗨𝗡𝗗. If you are not satisfied, Gasbye doesn’t want your money
- What about DryPrime noise? The DryPrime dehumidifier operates at around 45dB and is relatively quiet, making it ideal for medium to large spaces like basements, garages, and spacious living rooms. In these areas, it won’t disturb you while working or watching TV. It’s not recommended for use in small spaces like bedrooms

Works very well so far. Humidity level in the basement dropped pretty quickly. Noise level low. Continuous draining easy to setup and use. Wish drain hose was a little bit longer. Had to add extension. Provided extension connector was a great help.
Product arrived quickly. Was packaged very well.

Four week review… but first, kudos to the driver of the Amazon Prime truck, the young lady, after verifying I was the recipient (extra work, but nice feature Amazon), pulled it out of the truck, put it on her shoulder, crossed the street and deposited it on my porch. Which was more amazing when I went to move it, and discovered I had to roll it into the house!
So, first impressions, the shipping box (not the one Amazon put it in) was sturdy, and strapped together, cut the straps and the box lifted off, no lifting it out. Clear instructions everywhere. The manual even more so, clear, well written, English ! First instruction was to leave it sitting, upright, for 24 hrs. The unit is finished in shinny black, very nice. There are also several stickers attached with all the operating info needed right on top. They also have tabs so they can be easily removed to not distract from the appearance. I kept them, very useful to have the instructions handy. Also, no set up required, it comes with a handle to lift it, that folds down. Attach the hose, plug it in, that’s it. Well, there was one minor hitch, after all the rolling around, the included hose attachment, that’s shipped in the water container, had gotten lodged, jamming the container, which took a bit to release. Once it sat for 24hr, I turned it on and away we went. I’m impressed how quickly water started being extracted, and since the drain tube is clear, fun to see it working. So, I’m very impressed, someone(s) put in a lot of effort to create a superb manual, posting needed instructions in clear view, a proper shipping container, and great looking, to top it off. I can only assume the unit was designed/built with the same care. Noise, fan is all you hear. By the time you’ve gotten to these reviews, you already know about the “best efficiency” award, features like auto restart if power failure (with saved settings), delayed restart of compressor, working temp 41-90 & 35%-80% humidity levels ….
In addition, sending the Amazon order number & serial number to support@gasbye.com extends the 1yr warranty to 2 yrs, and adds a 5yr warranty for refrigerant leakage, they then replied with a very nice email … thank you Amy.
Wrapping up, everything about this purchase gets a 5 star plus rating.

My home is on the East coast and humidity is a big problem. Using it to lower humidity in a basement with a lot of flexible duct. So far it is working well. Lowered humidity from 85 to 60 in two days of operation and has stopped the duct sweating. Runs quiet. You cannot hear it upstairs in the home. I am interested in seeing how it holds up to the salt content in the air around here. I am on a bay not too far from the ocean so metal corrodes over time.

Having purchased three different dehumidifiers since 2019 that all failed after 13 months (“Sorry, but your unit is no longer under warranty”), we decided to give Gasbye a try as they offered a longer warranty ( 1 year that is extended to 2 years when you register the unit with the company plus a guarantee of 5 years for a refrigerant leak. As for the unit itself, it arrived a few days after ordered (well packed). The instruction manual is simple and easy to follow. The dehumidifier at certain times (operations) is noisy. Once that operation is completed, the unit is exceptionally quiet. We have had it in operation for less than a month. If is simple to use and it has done a very good job of dehumidifying a room in our basement. It is only a short time we have operated this dehumidifier, but I can say it works very well and pulls a lot of water out of the air (about 1.6 gallons) when it is full.

We needed a new dehumidifier for the basement when the old Frigidaire stopped working after many years (the usual system failure severe icing problem that plagues dehumidifiers). After days of searching reviews on the internet and Amazon I decided to try the Gasbye DryPrime-50-B. The reviews I read for all other brands/models reported poor performance and early failure, seems to be the norm these days for all the mass-produced units made in china.
The Gasbye stood out for reliability and warranty (2yr/5yr when registered with Gasbye). The User Manual is very well illustrated and clearly written, not the usual poorly translated english.
A feature I particularly like is the COMFORT setting, it automatically adjusts the humidity set point based on air temperature, for example, when basement is cooler in the winter it will adjust accordingly. It also has auto-defrost to control icing. It’s keeping the basement humidity at a comfortable 50% level which is ideal, and it automatically cycles on & off so not running constantly, seems to be sized right for the 1800 sq ft basement. And it’s quiet.
I registered with Gasbye customer support for the additional warranty and received a pleasant confirmation email within 24 hours. They are confident in their product and put a lot of emphasis on customer satisfaction. It’s unusual these days, such outstanding effort for customer satisfaction and support is not the norm.
So far it’s a perfect 5 stars!
