Where to start.
The instructions were not helpful and I’m not convinced that LED indicator light works as intended. I played with this for awhile with the charging cable until I felt it was ready instead.
When this kicks on, it is a bright UV light. It is hard to guess how far this light reaches and the plastic cage around it certainly blocks some light. The claim about generating ozone is pretty questionable with the size as UV lightbulbs can also destroy ozone in the air.
I wanted to run this to prevent mold from growing on the top of my fridge in Hawai’i. Running it has had no noticeable effect there. I ran it in my truck to see if it helped with odors and there is no noticeable change there either. Unless you regularly run this under a bathroom sink or other enclosed small space, I cannot imagine it does much if anything for the size. A uv air filter might be more successful in killing spores and clearing out odors.

Bought one of these and it wouldn’t work or charge. You’d have to wiggle it around to get a connection but still wouldn’t work. So I just had them ship a “new” one and it’s doing the same thing and it didn’t even come with charging cable. Do not buy this pos. Hate leaving bad reviews but if the shoe fits you know what I’m saying lol. ✌️

This UV sanitizer did turn on straight out of the box, however it has a strong smell. It also makes a noise. I do not think I will be able to use it because it makes the room smell like it. For this reason, I would not recommend this product.

I had been looking for a air purifier, esepcially one that would help with pet dander. To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this would help. From the description on the product page, I could see that it would address odor, but it did not specifically say it would help for those wtih allergies (which is what I am hoping for).
The booklet that comes with it called it a “Portable ultraviolet sterilization lamp,” and went on a lot about how this uses both UV light and Ozone, but the product page doesn’t UV light even once. I wonder why. The model I received looks like the picture on the page, but it is called the RUV-1001, not the SSP-6, which is what the page shows. The RUV-1001 uses UV irradation to sterilize/damage microbial DNA and should not be used when people are in the car or children or pets in the space (I think to avoid looking at the UV light, but am not clear 100%).
While I am not 100% clear I received the item on the page, what I can tell you is that we charged it and used it both in a walk-in closet and in the bedroom that the closet belongs to That particular room had a bit of an odor and belongs to a household member who is allergic to cats. the cat is not allowed in the room. I would love to know if this impacts dander, but that is not addressed anywhere.
The very detailed booklet says the unit runs for 20 minutes. I assume that it true, because I went to retrieve it much later and it was off. My husband swears odor has been reduced, but I honestly cannot tell. He is enthused enough about it that he plans on taking it will him on work trips to use in hotel rooms.
The booklet says it normally can be used 3-4 times when fully charged (it comes with a short USB-C to USB cord) and that the life of the sterilization lamp tube is 8000 hours and can be replaced. It can be returned within 7 days with one year’s free maintenance according to the warranty info in the booklet.

I love this little air purifier for travel. Keep it plugged in close to the bed. Filters old air depending on the size of the room but works great for hotel rooms. I’d say it’s about the size of a phone but thicker. May block 2nd outlet. Easy to operate, just plug in & breathe fresher air. Really great for peace of mind for funky rooms. Can even keep by trash can at home.
