Hardest part was picking up the humidifier. Ratcheting anchor made it so easy to lift and level

First, AprilAire charges an exorbitant amount for what the kit includes: $60 for four bent metal feet, four eye bolts, and four cords with clip ends/ratchet mechanisms is outrageous. Second, AprilAire failed to include all four rope/ratchets, only one pair was in the box vice two pair; you can’t hang a dehumidifier with one pair of cords. Third, after three days of no response (ok, 2 were a weekend), they referred me to Amazon customer support vice their own, like Amazon has the parts, laying around, and Amazon initially asked for the whole kit back! Luckily Amazon agent stood behind the sale: when I pointed out I could buy the missing parts for all of $6 on Amazon, the guy refunded me part of the price so I could order the missing parts from another seller at less cost and less time…and NOT from AprilAire! I’ll not buy from AprilAire again; if AprilAire is this way about small stuff, imagine their backing of a big ticket dehumidifier!

My dehumidifier hasn’t come crashing down yet, but I wouldn’t be completely surprised if it did. Cheap and significantly overpriced, but it was easy to use.

Used with an Aprilaire E130 for an attic installation. At first I had the dehumidifier placed on heat pump riser stands (MUCH cheaper than the Aprilaire ones) but I found that too much compressor noise was being transmitted to the bedroom below. I tried adding sound/vibration dampening blocks between the dehumidifier and the risers but they didn’t help much, so I used this hanging kit. It was super easy to install (<30 min) and not as flimsy in my view as some reviews suggest. Because the feet are screwed all the way in to hold the hanging kit brackets, it is very unlikely that they will snap. Since I had installed the unit on risers first, I just moved the risers out of the way of the feet until I could put the bracket on and suspend each corner so that the dehumidifier no longer rested on the corresponding riser. Leaving the riser in place helped me get the initial cord lengths pretty close to right. Sound transmission is minimal now.
One tip: use something shorter and stouter than a screwdriver to twist the eyes into place – one reviewer suggested a socket wrench extender. I used a ~6″ metal chisel.

I was skeptical of this product based on some of the feedback, but it’s a very nice solution. The metal brackets are fastened to the plastic feet on the humidifier, and ropes with rachet mechanisms attach the brackets to included eyelets that you screw into the subfloor. This allows you to raise the humidifier slowly (by yourself) from the ground and prevents transmitting vibrations from the humidifier through the floor (rope vs metal rods). Overall, well thought out and super easy to install/use. The rope is flexible, so you don’t have to get the dimensions perfect. A little wider/longer works fine. A++

Pretty Disappointing that AprilAire claims to be high quality and sells such a low quality product especially for $60+. This feels like something a knock off brand you would buy from Temu. The string and clips are about as cheap as they come and when I connected this to my dehumidifier and went to hoist it up the string came lose from the bottom clip. I tied as strong of a knot that I could tie and was able to hang my dehumidifier. However, I dont have very much confidence this will hold my dehumidifier up for years to come and am afraid it will fail and drop the dehumidifier on the ground and cause alot of damage.

Installation was simple and the ratcheting mechanics for the rope is a great concept for this install. Made it easy to do by myself without assistance to lift it.
