Only one con – not programmable to have it turn on for x hours per day. No big deal.
This is super quiet at the two lowest speeds. I keep it on one level above low to circulate and clean air. Within 20 minutes of running I could definitely smell the difference in the air. Plus so much less dusting or dust accumulation along with running humidifiers.
This uses a HEPA filter and will alert you when its time to replace, which I believe is based on run time hours, not really how dirty it is. For twice the price Blue Air was an option, but I did like this style and simplicity, plus the replacement filters fell to the affordable range.

I live in the NYC area, which recently had some of the worst air quality in our history as a result of the Canadian wildfires. Trust me, it was BAD. As a family with asthma sufferers, I wanted something to help improve indoor air quality and ordered this at once. It arrived the same day, and it was really a lifesaver. Although the air was better indoors than out, we still had difficulty breathing, and within an hour of this being on, we could feel the difference. Also, since using this, our seasonal allergies have also been so much better.
This unit is sleek and attractive in design; it’s large enough to make a difference but small enough that it’s not bulky or an eye sore. It’s easy to use, and since it’s Bissel, a well-known brand, I’ve already ordered replacement filters that were easy to find. In the past, I got burned with a lesser-known brand where I had to get creative to find replacement filters, and frankly, it impacted the performance of the unit. I’ve already convinced two family members to purchase these, and they’re also happy. Highly recommended.

Works great, only thing I miss from my old purifier is this one does not have an air quality monitor. I can tell it’s working when I burn incense though. I usually go back and forth between the lowest (quietest) setting and the second lowest one (a little louder but wonderfully blocks noise too while it cleans the air more quickly)

The Bissell Air Purifier has truly exceeded my expectations. It’s whisper-quiet, yet the impact on air quality is unmistakable. From capturing allergens to eliminating odors, this purifier creates a refreshing environment in my home. With its sleek design and intuitive controls, Bissell has seamlessly blended functionality and style. Say goodbye to airborne irritants – the Bissell Air Purifier is a breath of fresh air!

This air filter was more expensive than some other no-name ones that claimed a similar sized room. I chose this one because I figured a reputable brand like Bissel would have the replacement filters available for longer.
I’ve had it for a few months now and have no complaints :). The noise is minimal on the medium setting and even on the highest setting (which moves a lot of air) it is a whooshing sound that you can tune out pretty easily. I cranked it on high after I made stir fry and smoked up the house a little and within 30 minutes the haze in the air was gone. Two minor annoyances is that I hate the beeping noise when pressing buttons and when you change fan speed it ramps up and down slowly (probably designed to be less intrusive but is kind of annoying).
Here are how the fan speed levels work:
1 – Barely audible but also move very little air. May be good for noise when sleeping but don’t expect it to clean much.
2 – What I use most of the time. Audible but quiet and easy to tune out. Moves a decent amount of air.
3 – Lot of air, can be noisy when trying to watch TV or listen to music.
4 – Moves a ton of air and is noisy. It is the kind of whooshing sound you can tune out but you’ll need to turn the sound up if you’re listening to something.

I have three air purifiers at home. One is very small for the bedroom. The other is slightly bigger for the living room/kitchen area. Both are fairly quiet, but you know when it’s on.
This is the biggest air purifier we have. We use it for a separate, basement studio apartment. It’s not quiet, it’s silent.
I would say that nearly every time I visit the apartment I always ask why it’s off, and the response is that it’s always on. On it’s lowest setting it’s barely noticeable. Even on the highest it’s like very soft white noise.
The big one is in a basement apartment purely for the poor building maintenance, which causes far too frequent congestion/allergies. This air purifier has made the air in the basement breathable again. It works wonderfully all around for us, no complaints.

After using this for only a couple days in my bedroom I noticed a difference in air quality. My home tends to be dusty and this has cleared up the air to a level where I breathe better. It makes some noise, but by it’s not loud by any means at the lower settings…almost like white noise. Looking forward to many more days with better air quality in my home.

Seems to work fine.
