I bought 10 mini split system for over $80K on Feb 2023 . Few months after they were installed. One condenser was very loud. I called CH and was told that the 7 year’s warranty will not cover it and I have to buy a new condenser. Instead I replaced the entire unit w Daikin . Last week another CHunter had the same issue. I called for service and again I was giving the runaround and every excuse in the book But no service . I decided to write a review on Amazon. This morning I received an email that because of my review C Hunter are voiding the warranty on all my units. Not that it matters Since anyway they don’t service any of their products. The 7 years is a trap they will not service it for 1 day after u give them your money

Seems to be running fine so far, biggest gripe was one of the line sets came in as 1/2 inch & 1/4. Both evaps are 3/8 and 1/4 inch as well as the flare stubs on the CU. As a 40 year retired HVAC Tech , I made it work but for someone thinking this was a do it yourself project , just be aware . The only other thing I didn’t like was the quality of the copper in the line set was poor.

Installed in our garage/apartment conversion last year and it works great in the winter and summer! But when you need cooling in the day and heat at night, this unit struggles. The two inside units cannot heat one side and cool the other. so AUTO mode will causes problems every time. Rather then one side just picking what it should do and delaying the other unit… It just gives up and throws an error code. STUPID!
Also, when installing, remember to open all FOUR shut-off valves. 2 on the high pressure side and 2 on the low pressure side.

I love these! I have turned my garage into an apartment and bought these to use the 12,000 BTU for the main living area and the 6000 BTU for the bedroom. Once it was installed and turned on, I had to go in the next morning and adjust the temperature because it was so efficient at cooling! Makes me wonder why I have Heat Pumps in the rest of the house!
Have a heat pump on it’s last leg and will replace with these-no doubt!
