Scent is pleasant and takes that musty smell out of the room. You know it works well by the water residual it traps in container.

Placed in laundry room that has no ventilation. It does the job removing moisture & eliminating damp musty odors.

Based on the speed at which the tablets convert to water, I assume it’s working well but if you place this in an area of high humidity, like an upper level in a home with no central air, the tablets will wear down in about 2 weeks so stock up! Also, it has a weird fragrance. The first set of tabs we bought were really bad, almost like old skunk spray. The second lot is much better but still weird. Guess it’s better than mildew odor.

My kitchen does not have a window near the sink. My dishcloths have to be laundered every day otherwise they smell of mildew. Now I squeeze out as much water as I can and simply drape the cloth over the DampRid containter. In the morning there is no odor and I don’t have to keep throwing my dish clothes in the trash.

See my review on the container, both it and the drop in tablets are useless. Container leaks when trying to empty and the tablet dropped bits into the bottom which turned into a gooey mess which blocked the drip hole so the remainder of the tablet couldn’t drain. Stick with the damprid flakes and refillable containers.

The last time I went to buy a new DampRid product for our bathroom, I saw that there were several options available, a few of which I hadn’t noticed before. I noticed the DampRid product with the drop-in tablet and decided to buy it. I am very glad I did, as this product works very well.
The way that this works is that you just put this refill into the DampRid plastic container. The refill fits perfectly into the container. Then just close the lid and set it where you need it. We keep it in our bathroom, on top of the medicine cabinet, as we have a damp bathroom due to our bathroom fan being broken. The DampRid product pulls the moisture out of the air and keeps the bathroom more dry. The moisture collects in the bottom of the DampRid container and you just pour it out when you see that it is getting full.
Great product, will continue to buy it. It lasts for at least a few months for us.

This product works just as well as the free flowing type, without the mess. I do prefer this tablet over the free flow. The packaging is difficult to open without a scissor, but I have severe RA, so that may be the reason. One tablet burns up quicker than a small tub of free flow, which also makes it pricier. So depending on my budget, I’ll utilize both as needed. I only use this in one of my 2 bathrooms (the one without a window), with the exhaust fan and it works well, as do all of Damp Rids products.
