We were recommended this product by parents moving their college students into musty dorms. We decided to try one out at home in a room we use to hang dry items. It filled with water right away and the fresh scent took the musty scent out of the room within a day! Iām sensitive to smells and although itās strong at first it is very tolerable and almost undetectable after a day unless youāre very close to it. We purchased some unscented also but prefer the fresh scent to rid that musty smell. Highly recommend!

Pleasant scent, almost detergent like. removes moisture extremely well. I have used this at work in my locker and at home in my closets. It’s basically a 2 compartment plastic bag with a plastic coat hangar attached. the bag’s top compartment has the grainy or sometimes solid feeling moisture remover and the bottom is clear, this is where the moisture will gather. And gather it will. Once he bag is full of fluid, dump the whole thing in the garbage and put up another unit. Each one comes wrapped in a thin plastic that can be easily opened. The scent is very mild and does not really travel much except in the smallest of places, but i would not worry keeping close to garments. I have and noticed no prolonged smells or color issues. The moisture remover grains to tend to harden as it ages but by then the bottom half will be full so the whole unit can be tossed. Good for Musty closets and enclosed humid prone locations of those type. I do not know how it would fare in a living room or large rooms because of the amount of space. Best for lockers and such

I use DampRid in one of my older vehicles since the door seals and windshield seal on the truck tend to let in a bit of moisture. DampRid keeps the truck dry inside, and keeps it from smelling musty. Great product. I simply hang a bag of DampRid from the headrest stakes of the passenger seat, and I’m good for a month or more.
