After living for 5 years with a musty smell in my basement sewing room I have finally found the fix for it.
I tried scented air fresheners that just gave me a headache.
Within a day of putting one of these containers in my basement closet the musty odor was completely gone.
I would definitely recommend this product.

Damp rid works great for removing moisture in the air, and you get the satisfaction of seeing the moisture it pulled from the air in the tub itself, so you know it’s working. Totally essential if you live in a damp area. I’ve got one in every room. I removed one star because the scented version smells god awful. As soon as I enter my home it smells like musty moldy acetone, and the scent is really strong too. Get the unscented version for the love of god.

Work well in any “damp” space or space that does not get a lot of circulation

Easy to use. I like the refillable quality. Pulls water out and smells great.

I was skeptical when I purchased these but felt like our basement and some closets were smelling a little musty- I was blown away by the difference these have made. I’ve had them around the house for over a month now. The musty smell has not come back and the beads are still full. I am a stickler about my house smelling good and these have been added to my must haves for my house to smell great! I coupled this with some scent satchels in the closets and I love the smell of the closets now!

This is a must if you live in Florida and leave your home to go to another for a long time. Buy it by the buckets, and it helps to keep the moisture down. But then again anywhere you have moisture, perhaps you have a basement or even your closets. These are my hints. KRFL

With the recent weather the humidity has been really high and I needed something to bring it down in my hotel room.
I purchased these to place around my hotel room because the air felt very sticky feeling and damp. They have worked like a charm bringing it down and was rather shocked at home much moisture was collected. I really like that these are refillable and I can just buy the refill bag with having to just touch it all. Very easy to setup and place around. Highly recommend for any humid areas that you cannot or do not have a dehumidifier.

Recently moved to a 3 flat and my office is in the basement area. There was a lot of humidity and a strong odor. After about a week now, they are working very well! Placed one in my office and another in the hallway and the whole area smells much better already. It’s easy to set up and small enough to be out of the way
