Was suprised but it does work. Made very well. Noise is a little louder than i would like but it is very powerful. Remote and device are easy to use. Only thing i dont like is the pump set up. The way the pump is configured makes it hard to get the water bucket out of the device and water bucket is hard to clean.

For the first few weeks I had this thing it seemed great, it was cooling my room down a little bit… not a whole lot, but enough to feel comfortable especially when the fan was blowing right on me.
As of today:
– Needs to be refilled every couple hours
– Leaking water all over the place
– The back fins are all bent to hell up and down the unit and are super dirty
– Unit doesn’t use all the water and it seems to recycle some of the water? Debris has been found in the units waters tank when I empty the remaining water out to refill it.
– Unit smells horrible and musty when running it with water now
I would return it as it’s not functioning properly anymore, but after checking my Amazon status it says I’m exactly 1 day past the return window… so now I’m just stuck with this thing. I purchased this thinking it was a new unit and if it is new, this is a pretty terrible experience to have it deteriorate in only a month. If it was a refurbished unit, that’s pretty sketch that they didn’t disclose that information. Either way, not happy with my purchase.

I’ve had this air conditioner-type fan for about 3 weeks. We have had a few days of heat in the 90s to 100°. This Dreo is extremely good at keeping a large room cool. The water and the ice blocks really boost the cooling up. It is very quiet. I like the remote control. Although it could be lighted to help find the buttons easier. Other than that if it’s just hot in you home and there’s a breeze outside, no need for ice or water just open the door set the fan near the door and turn it on. The room will cool off within 15 minutes. Worth every penny

the fan itself is pretty good, however it has a major flaw and now i am searching for replacement fins for it, it says to clean every 2 weeks or so, but one week of not taking it apart had caused issues
the main flaw it had is that it feeds water from a tank on the bottom and pumps it up, the water the goes down on the fins and goes back into the tank if its not evaporated, this is probably good to avoid being knocked over, but the design of the tank has a huge flaw.
its pump is not at the bottom of the tank, meaning thet even when the tank is empty’ there is an inch or so of water, and this water had been a exposed to everything in the air multiple times before resting in the tank, and it gets dirty very fast, and i have found it looks yellow in a few days, not 2 weeks, and it has gotten harder to clean to the point i think i need to replace the blades
it never says to avoid filling the water tank with a pitcher or cup, and if it did i would still take a star away for that, so don’t say i was just using it wrong
putting the pump a bit lower in the tank, possibly having some plastic to make it the lowest point would help with a lot of this

a different more minor thing that annoys me is that the fan had “air conditioning” in its amazon details section, when its not, and its instructions state it isn’t, i get how it works and to not compare it to an actual ac unit, but i find the wording deceptive
although at least it isn’t in the title itself last time i checked
———————————-
aside from that, the fan was good while it lasted, and probably is still an ok but overpriced fan without the cooling feature, i like that its screen goes dark after leaving it for a while, an issue i always have with tower fans at night giving of often blue light making it hard to sleep, i didn’t need to tape over the display of this one
as a fan, its worth 1-2 degrees f of air temperature at night to me, roughly the same as my older tower fan, with cooling, its maybe worth 1-3, with cooling and ice its seemingly worth 2-3 degrees, however this is with the thing pointed at me, i don’t think it can cool a room, at least a room in an area with 40-50% average humidity, if you live in an area with less then that, it probably will, but i don’t
its power cable is a bit on the short side, but that isn’t the biggest issue, i don’t rate remote controls because i never keep them long enough
it had been good at not being knocked over at night, a major plus from fans that then to get toppled if hit in the darkness
really do hope there are replacement fins, because the ones i have might not be healthy to aim at myself for much longer

I’ve had this evaporative cooler for almost 2 months now, and I’m very happy with it. I didn’t want to mess with a portable or window unit AC, and this is a great alternative.
We are currently in a heatwave, and each evening this week, the cooler is able to lower the temperature in my bedroom by 2-3 degrees by the time I go to bed, and even more overnight. (I keep it off when I’m away at work) It’s obviously not as effective as AC, but it makes a significant difference on these hot days and nights.
I personally haven’t noticed much of a difference between using the ice packs or not, but I also tend to fill it with water that’s been in the fridge as well.

Bought after apartment AC went out and during heat dome. Now just using during sleeping without water as AC is working and cooling off at night. As a former user of a box fan this is way better. It may be me but with water and ice packs my room did not cool much. I wonder about quality of ice packs as they really expand in freezer. Too make clear, I turn off AC at night while I sleep and just run fan on level 2. It is over 6 ft from head of bed and I can feel it. It is too bad someone can’t invent something like a tanning bed but with water cooling.

I had bought a $600 AC unit for my living room and had to return it because it kept tripping my breakers. I saw this and thought I would give it a try. It was taller then I thought it would be which was nice. The air pressure from this thing is strong! I have cats and let’s just say after I turned it on I needed to vacuum the cat hair up that it blew away. The air isn’t “AC unit cold” but it is nice. I live in Florida and it’s to dang hot out and this helps when my AC unit needs help cooling off the house. I don’t use the ice packs provided as they warm up to fast and take up to much room so I just use ice from my freezer and it works great. If you need something to help cool off a room and dont/can’t want a actual AC unit this is a good second option.
