I bought the heater to help warm my ground level master bedroom which is difficult to keep at a comfortable temperature without running the heating system non-stop. The system in my three-level condo was apparently designed by a toddler — the thermostat is in the hallway with the stairs that go all the way to the loft, so the heat in the hallway just rises, keeping the hallway and ground level cool and the loft toasty. With this heater, I can turn off the thermostat in the hallway and keep the master bedroom door closed, allowing the bedroom to warm to a comfortable level with a minimum of energy use.
The heater is smaller than I expected from the picture. Of course the dimensions are given in the product description and are accurate, but I somehow expected it to be similar in size to my air purifier, which is nearly twice as tall. It’s not an issue, but I was surprised how small the box was that Amazon delivered, and thought I might have received the wrong item until I opened the box. Speaking of the box and packaging, I like that it was pretty basic and not intended for retail display, without pictures or glossy cardboard — just a brown cardboard box with two moulded cardboard inserts that hold the heater at both ends of the cylinder to prevent contact damage inside the slightly oversized box.
Feature-wise, I can’t think of anything that I would want that the heater doesn’t have. Easy and accurate temperature control, different power settings to minimize energy usage, an oscillating feature which helps heat large spaces more evenly, and best of all a remote control so you don’t have to get out of bed to make changes. The design is modern and pleasing, the white LEDs turn off when the heater shuts down (it’s amazing how annoyingly bright small LEDs can be at night in a bedroom), and the noise level is fairly low — not as quiet as my air purifier on its lowest fan speed, but the heater moves quite a bit more air and will shut down when the target temperature has been reached. There was some smell when I first turned the heater on which reminded me of a soldering iron, but that went away quickly. The warranty is also generous at five years.
Overall, the heater is highly recommended.

I needed to replace my old 24″ tower heater, and I didn’t really have a lot of time to shop around, so I took a chance on this one.
I was rather surprised.
After going from a 24″ tower to a 16″ one I was thinking, “There’s no way this thing is going to heat my room.” but it does a fantastic job.
My old unit was 1200w 5k BTU and this one is 1500w at over 5100 BTU, so it handles the job rather nicely.
I did have to set it on top of the box it came in because when it sits one the floor it makes the carpet very hot, and I was afraid it might start a fire, but that just me being cautious.
I took one star off for a couple of very small reasons.
First of all the ambient temperature reading on the unit seems to be off a bit, so if you want to maintain a room at a certain temperature, you have to set the unit to three or four degrees higher than the temperature you want.
Second, the remote is very nice it has a textured coating that gives it a good feel, but the problem is that it’s difficult to tell the difference between the buttons without staring at the remote.
Which is fine in a lit room or during the day, but in the dark it’s hard to tell which button you are pushing.
I’ve had where I go to adjust the temperature and end up changing every setting but the temperature.
Some separation between the buttons or a lighted remote would be nice.
Overall it’s an extremely efficient little heater, and sometimes it’s so quiet I don’t even know it’s on.
Were anyone to ask me for a recommendation on a space heater, I would not hesitate to put this one up front.

So if you want a “ceramic electrical heater that works” look no further !! We ordered 1 at first so we didn’t need to worry about returning 2 items if the heaters turned out to be junk. We will gladly be ordering another one of the Dreo Space Heaters.. This Dreo pumps out the heat like crazy!! Its built in shut off safety features are great if you have pets or distracted people walking around.. Some people complain about the smell and truth be told its not that bad. Its NORMAL for any heater to give off fumes when its new!!. After about 5-7 minutes of run time the fumes already began dissipating.. Open a window if the smell bothers you for the first time you start the heater.. “Stars 5/5, & highly recommended !!

I live with my 92-year-old mother. She can’t tolerate temperatures below 78-80⁰. I can’t tolerate constant temps above 73-75⁰. This is a wonderful solution that feels like a godsend!
My room is very tight, so a small footprint was mandatory. She was insistent that I could not stick a window AC on the front of our house. This unit is approximately 1.5 sq ft. The exhaust hose is big, so it requires more space, but not so much that I can’t get around.
Setup is incredibly easy. Unit ways 48 lbs. Younger me would have had no trouble, but 59-year-old me had to go slowly up steps. Once on level ground it rolls easily. Within 10 minutes I had nice cool air!
Controls are very well explained in manual, including those on the remote. I did have to learn the symbols, but they are quite logical and intuitive.
I’ve been running it anytime I’m home for about three weeks now. If I have any issues down the road, I will amend my review. I’ve closed off my central vent and created a pleasantly cool oasis from our muggy hot house!

I needed a little extra heat in a bonus room that really isn’t great when it’s extra cold outside. This space heater is compact but throws a lot of heat. The blower is effective, and the rotating motion is surprisingly helpful at spreading the heat directionally. There is no odd smell, the heat always seems to be under control, and although I’m paranoid about space heaters causing a fire, this device feels very safe.
