Surprising powerful. It’s actually outside on my enclosed deck. It made the 20 degree night bearable. My 15×13 tarp and polycarbonate sheet enclosed deck was able to go from 20 to 50 degrees without any additional heat other than this 30000 btu unit. I then cranked on my propane fire pit and some hanging Heatstrip brand heaters to add another 25 to 30 degrees. After an hour it was a toasty 75 to 80 degrees with snow and high winds all around.
The heat from this unit goes up more than I expected. Especially with the additional fan added. But it does heat up as designed. Items within 5 feet in front were at 125 degrees. Those items about 10 feet away were around 80 degrees. It is slow to warm the surrounding items. It took about 45 minutes to fully warm the deck up the 30 degrees I mentioned. It does not smell like gas at all and made no noise other than the fan. And the fan is not loud. I could easily hear my tv that was only 7 feet away. It blows air. Not a ton. But it does move air. It’s bigger and thicker than I wanted, but it does the job nicely. And cheap for 30 k btu. I will remove it in the spring. But for now, I like it. It worked as planned.

I was replacing an existing heater so gas line already run. My brother has a 700 square foot cabin built in the 40’s so no wall insulation and minimal attic insulation but this heater heats it well and quiet fast. Simple as mounting the hanging bracket, screw on the spacers at bottom of heater, hang on bracket and connect gas line. I also installed the auxiliary fan which was a simple task. Only negative is with the blower installed, its hard to get to the blower switch which is behind the heater, if you have big hands. I would suggest using a solid spacer behind the mounting bracket and that the bottom spacers will contact, so as to give you more room behind the heater, Maybe a length of 1×2.

The heater works well and puts out a lot of heat. However I had to take it apart and adjust the thermocouple before it would stay lit. It was in the wrong position from the factory. I do highly recommend the optional fan upgrade.
This heater does work to heat half my house when the power is off. I recommend it for a main or a backup source of heat.

This heater provides tons of heat and is extremely east to install. I bought the natural gas version along with the fans that can be put in. I bought everything at once and have not used the fans, this heater will warm up the area quick. The first few times you use it, it does have a smell to it, but it eventually burns off. I have no regrets with this purchase, that’s why i bought two.

Does a nice job. I don’t think it puts out as much heat as the blue flame heater it replaced, but most of that heat went to the ceiling and up the stairs so the end result is this one does a better job heating the downstairs. It may use less gas to heat, but I’ll have to wait for my gas bill to see. There was concern with this heater as to if it put too much water in the air and I found that concern to be unfounded. Because I saw it as a concern I got a thermomter with a humidity guage and found the humidity in my home is too low. I went out and bought a room humidifier a week ago and it has been running non-stop for almost a week and the humidity is still only about 24%, and it should be 30%-50% for the most comfort so I would not worry about the moister this heater gives off as a by-product. I use it as my primary heat source with my central heat as a backup source for those cold days/nights so it is going full blast 24/7

Purchased this heater as a backup in case of power outages, and now I use it every morning to break the chill in my home. Heats up my 800 sq ft home in about 30 minutes. Consumption is cheaper than using my furnace. Very efficient and installation was very easy. Highly recommend this product if you are curious or interested.

Have this on my deck for year round heating

I purchased this heater to throw some heat into my basement during the colder times of the year. My basement stays the same temperature all year round for the most part at around 60-70 degrees but it’s those 60 degree days I wanted to tame a bit. I hooked this heater into my natural gas line and the radiant infrared heat this heater puts out is impressive! It has 5 ceramic heating elements and can be adjusted to run either one, three or all five at one time. It has a controlled pilot flame with auto shutoff. I added the optional fan to improve circulation which it did do and the auto feature is very functional. I have a gas/C02 detector right above this unit and at full blast I get no alarms. Very impressive for a ventless heater as it sports a better than 99% efficiency rating. It is extremely well built and hanging it on the wall was a breeze as the bracket is well designed and provides a solid hanging base. For the money this heater is a steal and I highly recommend it!

Don’t bother with this particular style… Instead, go with the style that has the blue flame and doesn’t have the white ceramic tiles… I received this and the box was in pretty decent shape overall, however, it must’ve been jostled a bit because the tiles inside were all broken Which makes it impossible to use.
I returned it immediately and bought the blue flame style one from Mr. heater, and now I don’t need to worry about ceramic tiles ever breaking because there aren’t any… However, the Mr. heater one didn’t have any glass to protect the pilot light from occasional wind… So I’m not sure I would recommend that one completely either… Your best bet is one with a blue flame, no ceramic tiles, and a tempered glass covering over the flames to prevent wind blow out… That would be the best of all worlds in my opinion

I thought it was thermostatically controlled its manual and wont shut off at temp. Heats well just wont shutoff
