I’ve only used it once so far in about 55°F weather, but the heat this thing puts out is ridiculous, my garage was about 60°F and I turned it on high for about 70 seconds just over a minute, and the temperature went from 60-82 in that time, and my garage has a leaky roof and no barely to no insulation, granted this is rated for 3200 square feet and my garage is about 900 square feet but still, I’m excited to use it in winter, also I used home heating oil and there was barely any smell and the smell that did come out I didn’t mind at all, I don’t know the exact wattage, but it doesn’t use much power I was able to run this on. The same breaker is two 1500 W electric heaters no problem just to test how much energy it used, it’s definitely pretty big and heavy but it’s only wheels so it’s not bad to move around, putting it together wasn’t terrible. The instructions were a bit confusing, but I was able to figure it out in the end, it is loud, so beware of that, however, the high and low function is very useful. Put it on high to heat up quick keep it on low to save fuel, but keep it warm, all the buttons and dials work as intended the cover over the dials and electronics wasn’t perfectly centered so I had to take it off and resent it, but it wasn’t hard as it was just for Phillips screws, other than that, it was pretty good and no it does not come with a remote control. I’ve only use it three times for a few minutes so I don’t know how good it lasts or how the fuel usage is yet but I will update if anything happens and I will update on how fuel usage is etc.
So far, I highly recommend it, worth the money!

This heater throws a lot of heat. In the dead of winter it makes my uninsulated garage a hot box. I have been burning diesel fuel in it which is way cheaper than Kerosene with no issues at all.

This heater heated my garage from 35 to 60 degrees in about 30 minutes. The cons, it has no thermostat which I thought it did but that’s OK. Many of these have inaccurate ones anyway so I have an external, in-line thermostat on the way that I can place higher up to control room temperature better.
It arrived well packaged and undamaged but the initial start-up, it ran for about 30 seconds and shut off. It did this every time. After some troubleshooting using the manual, I found that the pressure was too high. This model has no pressure Guage as well so I just kept turning it down in increments until it stayed on. Now it works great but when it gets too hot, I have to shut it off. Bearing this in mind I would still recommend this product. Kerosene is recommended but since diesel is about ten bucks a gallon cheaper, diesel it is and it runs great.

Excellent quality. Very satisfied with this heater. Been using it for a couple months now. I live in Texas so my winter is rather mild, but on those days it does dip into the 40’s, 30’s and even a few days in the 20’s, this heater has been great. I used to have a propane heater and this one is by far 10 times better. thermostat works great. I get great gas mileage. I use diesel and the specs say it uses about 1 gallon per hour of use, but mine is somewhat better than that. The first week I used it for just under 9 hours of use (not counting the off time between thermostat cycles) and it only used 1/2 tank (5 gal) of diesel. I am told it wold get better mileage with kerosene, but I have not tried kerosene since that is harder to find down here. My shop is about 50’x30′ and this heats it up pretty nice. when the temp outside is about 45, it takes about 15-20 minutes to heat the shop up to about 65.
Update: Here we are 3 years later and the heater is still working like new-Perfect. I like this heater so much, I purchased another one. The 135K btu works great in my larger shop, but I needed one for my smaller shop (less than half the size of the larger). So I purchased the 50,000 but unit. Just as I was with the larger unit, I am not disappointed with the 50K. Works perfect and heats up the shop in about 30 minutes to the point that I can turn it off for a couple hours. This shop is about 12’x30′. If anything should change in the future I will return here to update this review.

Honestly…I was initially skeptical, but filled it with diesel fuel from the local service station, (about half the price of our local kerosene), plugged it in–and flipped the switch on ! Couldn’t be simpler !
Toasty warm in minutes.
Near as I can tell, this thing will run 14-16 hours on a fill, but your garage is going to be warm in less than an hour if you need to work. It was -4C outside, and I was working comfortably in my insulated 1200 square foot shop in less than a half hour.
The only thing I wish it had…was a ‘cool down’ fan, so when you shut it off….it just doesn’t go from FULL HEAT to ‘off’. Something the manufacturer might consider later, but simpler is often better !
Great product.

I have a large unheated garage and at 30 degrees outside this little thing will heat it to a comfortable level in 5 minutes. I set the thermostat to keep it above freezing, then turn it up when I’m in there for a while. Works very well.

I went from a 55000 btu that struggled to heat a 400 square foot metal building to this 80000 btu heater. This sends heat all the way to the front of the garage. Using diesel fuel so it is a bit smelly in the garage so I have a small exhaust fan in the peak end of the building I run once the building is heated, it removes the smell but it will make the heater run more often. If the fan is not used it has 10 degree differential and gets cold before it starts again. Works well heating up the garage. Over all I’m very happy with this heater

We have ran it on kerosene and diesel. The diesel seems to last longer but has a stronger smell. The kerosene didn’t freeze during very cold temps. (Pic of using it to thaw my pond)
Easy to use, excellent heat source!

So easy to light and blower warms up areas very quickly.

This heater is absolutely perfect. My garage is not insulated, when it was 10 degrees outside, this heater got my garage up to 80 degrees in a half hour and kept it there.I was hesitant to buy one of these for years because I didn’t think it would keep up with no insulation, but I’m so glad I decided to get it,I can finally work comfortably in the garage no matter how cold it is outside. It does burn through kerosene pretty fast when set to higher temps,Temps, well worth it to stay warm.

I used this heater over this past winter. Great little unit, it really blasts the heat out for its size. Heats my 2 bay garage in 20 minutes. I don’t miss the wheels – it’s not that heavy even when filled with fuel. More awkward than heavy. Thermostat works as expected – once set it cycles flawlessly. I definitely recommend this unit.

It’s noisy, but it works!
