This worked fabulously, while it worked. After three months, it stopped working altogether. It gave out at the tail end of the three-month warranty period. I see many people have reported that it stopped working after just over three months. When I saw the repeated complaint, I canceled my re-order of the device. The company or Amazon kindly honored the warranty, which I missed because we were traveling.

This little gadget is brilliant. It has transformed my MiL’s hearing aids overnight as she was constantly having problems with with her aids blocking up and also getting reoccurring ear infections. 3 hours in this and no more problems.

I like the size and ability to plug into a USB site. It is quiet and unobtrusive. The heating/stearilizing light is on for a much shorter time that the prior units I was using, but it does not appear to make any difference in the function of the device.

I had been using a dryer cup/desiccant to store my hearing aids overnight for years. Recently I noticed that my battery life was getting shorter. The problem became progressively worse to the point that sometimes they would only last a couple of hours. I began wondering if it was a moisture issue as it was midsummer and it was very humid. I began shopping on Amazon for a solution and finally decided to try this Kapak unit. Almost immediately after I started using it my battery life began to get better and after only a couple of days it was back to normal. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and it seems to have solved the problem completely. The unit is super simple to use and I like the fact that it not only dries (with auto-shutoff) but also disinfects using UV light. I am very happy with this product and would strongly recommend it.

I got another make and model with my hearing aids a few years ago. I used it every night, and often ran it again over night when I got up. It never worked well as this dryer, which has improved my hearing aid experience. Once and done. This is a good choice.

Now that in using this I feel more confident that my hearing aids are good and dry. A couple of things about the instructions, though. First, are we to remove the batteries? Obviously, the battery doors must be open. The other thing is that it reads, “You will hear a beep.” That is annoying because, hello! We just removed our hearing aids! It should read something like, “The device will beep.”

The product is well designed and easy to use. The only problem is that I do not know the efficiency or the benefit of using this for hearing aids. It will require a long time to really know. At this point, I feel optimistic because of the functionality.
