Purchased this A/C unit thinking it was a higher end brand. Wrong, it malfunctioned after my 30 day return from Amazon so they advised me to call Friedrich. Only had it less than 2 months. Friedrich advised me to call a repair person and have them diagnose the problem. Said they would reimburse me up to $70.00 if I was billed!!! The buttons on the unit stopped working so I had to use the remote only to operate it.it started turning itself on and off randomly. Had to unplug it as I was afraid it would catch fire!I will never buy this brand again and will never recommend anyone to. Since this was just a window unit, I was expecting them to replace right away, especially since it was so new. Don’t waste your money!!!

I purchased this item at closeout for a great price. Item needed warranty repair at the end of it’s warranty and I was denied warranty repair or replacement. They are trying to say item was used or refurbished. Which it was not. Item received brand new in box and all plastic wrapped. Come to find out unit was from 2021. Older model but never used. Denied my claim out right. Nothing I could do. Buyers beware of Friedrich warranty procedures.
