I really like the size of this unit for a bedroom and the fact it does not have any obnoxious lights all over it that disrupt sleep. The control is an old-school knob that turns to the desired speed and that’s it, which was fine. Unfortunately, it’s way TOO quiet for being a dual purpose white noise and air cleaning machine, which is what I was hoping for. Some may love how quiet it is, however it did not seem to move a lot of air it change the quality of the air in the room. Good unit for someone that doesn’t need loud white noise and is seeking a simple design. Just not for me.

I had been allergy-free for years. All of a sudden, I was waking up all stuffed up. Shortly thereafter, my eyes started to become VERY itchy and red. I would wake myself up during the night from rubbing my eyes. Once I was out of the house though, the allergies were hardly noticeable. So I decided to get this air purifier for my bedroom. I keep it on the medium setting and the noise level is perfect. It’s similar to the sound of a ceiling fan, which I find to be just the right level of white noise to fall asleep with. From the very first day that I got it and turned it on, I stopped waking up with itchy eyes and a stuffy nose. I was surprised at how well it worked, and how quickly! The air in my bedroom is noticeably “fresher” smelling now than the air in the rest of the house. This is a great little air purifier, especially for how affordable it is.

I just ordered a second unit. The first one I bought was for my home office and seemed to work well, but was noisy for the small room when on anything other than the lowest setting. To be expected, and the lowest setting does the job. I was skeptical about how well it was working until I cleaned the filter—it was much dirtier than I’d thought it would be! I decided to buy the second unit for our laundry room, where the kitty litterbox is. I had been using a plug in air freshener and was tired of having a strong smelling one to cover any litter odor. I realized the other day, after almost 2 months, that I have not smelled ANY litter odor! I am actually very surprised. I guess I didn’t really expect it to be so effective at eliminating the distinctive/pervasive smell of kitty litter. I am very pleased and would purchased another one if I had another room that needed one! Especially for the price, since other brands and units were much more expensive.

I chose this because we live in a rental unit with a swamp cooler that is not always controlled by me and that I’m sure the filter hasn’t been changed on in years. When you turn this thing on full blast, it sounds a bit like an oscillating fan and kicks out a fair amount of air as well, but when you put it in whisper mode, you’d be hard-put to tell anything was running unless you’re a REALLY light sleeper or if you live out where there are no sounds of the city or anything (in which case, why would you need this?). Anyway, it’s smaller (about the size of an old school boom box stereo (I know, I just dated myself there) but it works very well and as a bonus, it looks pretty sleek as well (I have the black one in my room and the white in my daughter’s room). I don’t know that it would be powerful enough for a room bigger than a bedroom, but it works great for while we’re home and sleeping.
Also, the price is very fair and with my prime membership, it was at my door in two days flat, free. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

Update: This air cleaner is seriously one of the best items I have ever purchased. After moving to a new apartment, about 550 square feet, I was worried that this would not be powerful enough. Sure enough, it was! I placed diagonally opposite of my bed, and I could feel a breeze on medium all the way from the other side of the room, over 20 feet away. When my neighbors are being noisy, this can even double as a white noise machine or on a hot day, a mild fan that’s not too loud.

I was expecting to pay $500 for one of those standing units. I’m glad I found this one and I was afraid it would be too noisy or not powerful enough. I put this on whisper clean for two hours and I could feel a significant difference in my room’s air quality. You can also barely hear it unless you stick your face to it.
I have horrible allergies and after moving into a pet-friendly apartment, it only got worse. Our old residents were also slobs and despite me cleaning the place 100 times, it’s still full of allergens. I spent hundreds on humidifiers, cleaners, allergies drugs, etc. to no luck. Thankfully, I found this and I’m breathing again. Seriously, if you have allergies, look no further!

This little air cleaner is perfect for my needs. I like that it has three settings so I can have it quiet when I watch tv or I like to use it like a fan to move air around on quick clean setting. It isn’t anything fancy, but it does work bc I can see the dust and dog hair build up in the filter. I mainly bought this for the easy to clean, reusable filter. Would probably not work well for heavy duty smell or allergy cleaning, but works great for just everyday general air filtration/ and as a small personal fan, too.
