   I thought this would burn like a traditional wick lantern- it doesnt. It looks like the kerosene catalyzes through the perforated cylinder. I did get some fiberglass replacement wick material- (1/8th” round wick for anyone wanting to do the same , to replace the natural fiber wicks supplied) It works much better than I thought. Downside is It is made from a thin material, and the fuel tank cap isnt threaded, I’ll see if i can fit an o ring on it. I plan on using this a a mini kerosene space heater for my car when i’m camping and hunting down logging roads. Quickly boils my coffee percolator so i can get started in the mornings- fuel is cheap, and can be found anywhere. As far as it being used as a space heater- I can adjust the heat so It can run all night- my Mr. Heater jr. cant do that, nor can my msr whisperlite.

   We just recently had gas pipeline going to our town damaged and had to run grill on propane cylinder as utility company also shut off the electricity in the area due to safety concerns. When I went to refill the tank to the closest propane exchange there was no propane available. I had to drive miles to exchange it. My neighbor was using similar kerosene stove and had no issues running it on old kerosene as kerosene is extremely stable has very long shelf life. This particular model is very easy to disassemble and clean. It comes with fueling funnel and extra wick strands. Flame is adjustable by a knob that lowers or raises wick strands. Fuel cap has a rod with a small wick at the end. if you close the cap the small wick will be dipped into kerosene in the tank. Then pull it back out and use pocket lighter to ignite it and then use that flame to ignite the stove. The stove has very simple time proven design. Everything is made from aluminum or brass. It is also very reliable as it doesn’t have air pump like old soldering lamps and uses wick to draw kerosene out of the tank instead.

   If you aren’t ready to die don’t bother with this product. Incredibly shabby, poorly constructed and a terrible fire just waiting to happen.

   Assembly instructions very bad and incomplete. English is very poor and makes little sense.
   Product is extremely cheaply made. It goes in the trash. If I could assemble it, I would be afraid to use it.

   Item arrived as described except for missing the cap to the kerosene filling opening and damaged to one of the uprights. I straightened out the damaged section as best as possible. If I had to purchase all over again I would not buy it.
