My asthma has been awful this winter and I keep waking up with horrible headaches, my skin is dry on a good day, etc. so I tried this humidifier. I wanted a warm air one to see if there is a difference and, if there is, it’s slight. It definitely helps my asthma, breathing issues at night, skin, and I wake up without headaches from cold, dry air – so it is definitely worth it. I just don’t notice much difference between the heated function vs the regular.
The heat function does work, it’s very low heat, but it is noticeable when you touch the unit. There is no risk for burns or damage to your furniture from that.
I was concerned about water damage to my furniture, but other than water when I refill the tank, there are no issues. The steam/mist is so fine – the furniture, carpet, bedding, etc. aren’t damp at all! That is probably the most impressive part of this and worth the extra money over the cheaper units.
It goes through a full tank of water every 16 hours IF it’s on heat and full blast- so if you don’t run it on full blast, with heat, or continuously a tank should last 2 nights easily.
Cleaning isn’t an issue yet, and I have immaculate water, so that won’t be an issue.
I have used the essential oil pad but it doesn’t make much of a difference or seem to smell past a few hours. It’s very subtle and not really worth it. I will use the oil and pad refills I have, but won’t buy more.
My bedroom/bath area is around 500 sq feet and it’s definitely noticeable in the entire area when this is running.
I’m still very happy with this unit and glad I bought it over some cheaper ones. I hope it lasts a long time and think anyone with asthma, or who wants the benefit of running a humidifier in the winter or otherwise will benefit from it.

I own two older models that still work great after a couple of years. Ordered 2 more 3 months ago and one started making fan noise after 45 days. The other is now making the same noise at three months. Minimal mineral deposits all around. There’s gotta be something wrong with the fans themselves or the spinning disc. Curious to see if others are reporting the same problem.

I love that there isn’t a filter to replace. I’ve had many humidifiers in my bedroom over the years, and this one is the most quiet and most easy to fill./

I had a Homedic 1 gallon “vaporizer” for years that would up the humidity in a large room by about 6 to 8%+.
I had this Total Comfort Plus Humidifier on in the same room for over 3 hours and it did not raise the humidity 1%, even with the warm mist turned on. The warm mist turns cold about 1 inch out of the spout and the flow of the mist with this “ultrasonic” system flows out about 1 to 2 feet and then falls to the floor (like a garden hose). I would not recommend this or any “ultrasonic” cool mist-warm mist humidifier. This unit is going back.

I use the cool mist, it really helps me get a good nights sleep. I have sinus issues and this helps me breathe easier. You can set it to a warm
Most as well if need it. I have also tried it in the living room a few times. It works well.

I needed a warm mist humidifier fast because of a respiratory illness. This one was delivered by Amazon in less than 24 hours.
This humidifier is very easy to set up and has both warm and cool mist. It takes a while (maybe an hour) for the water to heat up for warm mist, so be patient. It puts out a lot of moisture into the air, way more than another humidifier I have set up in another room.
It is totally silent. It has a nifty night light down in the bottom of the water tank. And the mineral cartridge to control mineral build up is a great touch since that’s often a problem with humidifiers. If the humidifier puts out a layer of white dust on furniture, that’s not a defect of some kind like some people think. It just means you need a new mineral cartridge.
Unfortunately I’m an expert on humidifiers because of chronic respiratory issues. So far this humidifier is working great.
The only negative is the listing says it’s top fill, which was a big part of the reason I chose this one. It is not top fill and can be heavy and awkward to fill which is the reason I took off one star.
Overall it’s a good humidifier and I’d buy it again.

Quite nice. Quiet. Does get scale build up, though, so expect to have to replace this every 3-4 years.
