These were a game changer for my air purifier. Keeps it clean far longer and easier than having to empty it out and wipe it out all the time with vinegar. The price point is incomparable and this is the easiest way to keep it clean. The sharks are also just a cute little touch.

I find they aren’t too bad but I usually get the fish from protec I belive it’s called these one the balls get stuck then the shark sinks to the bottom I figured it out if u take it out shake it and loosen up the pellets inside and some of the water it will float again but doesn’t last it’s meant to float to get the crap on top but for the price I guess it’s more cost efficient then a total loss

I bought these because I have a couple of humidifiers that I plug in during the winter months to get some moisture in the air and these are great because they’re good for keeping the water container clean and it doesn’t get scuzzy or scummy on the plastic container so but they’re great I’ve used them for years thank you

The “but” is you need more than 1 and depending on the size of the water tank on your humidifier or fish tank, you will need more than three.
LONGEVITY: I have a 1 gallon tank for my cool mist humidifier. When I first bought these more than a month ago, 2 pink sharks lasted about 3 to 4 weeks, which is very good 👍🏽. But to be thorough I changed them out on Friday of last week and only used 1 pink shark inside the tank. Well, upon refilling the tank today I saw pink algae in the bottom of the humidifier. This tells me that 1 shark can not clean 1 gallon of water 🤷🏽♀️, and will not go past a week. When I made my purchase I bought two boxes of the sharks, I have only used 4 of the 6 sharks that come in the box. 2 sharks, every 4 weeks = cost effectivness 👍🏽.
THE SILVER BEADS: positioning is difficult. You can have all of those beads flat in the belly of the shark, but they will shift either forward or backwards depending on how you insert them into the water tank. I tried wetting the sharks before insertion, but the beads moved no matter what. In my pictures, I have one shark with it’s head slightly down, and the other perfectly straight🤷🏽♀️ It really is hit or miss, but the important thing to know is: THEY DO THEIR JOB NO MATTER HOW THEY ARE POSITIONED 💯 The tank stays clean and no pink algae is born. So don’t spend a lot of time and brain power trying to get them straight.
CONCLUSION: These work great. And I will be buying more. Remember the bigger the tank the more shark you will need to insert. Too much water and not enough sharks will lead to pink algae creation.
