I have 4 different humidifiers in my home and this worked well on all of them. There was no odor at all, which is super great, and left no residue, so cleaning the humidifiers was easy. The bottle was a bit heavy for me though, but such is life!

Works as advertised. Makes end of season cleanup much easier.

I am shocked at how well this product works at keeping away slime, mold and oder out of my humidifiers. I am so used to cleaning my humidifiers every 2 weeks and still seeing mold and slime even though I used a Bacteriostatic treatment. I would have to change the filters every two weeks also which gets costly. It’s been 27 days and the base and tank are squeaky clean and don’t smell. The filter is also clean. The only exception with the filter is the top nearest the fan which gets crust dry and dirty from the air but even that is less than I’ve ever seen it. I’ll easily be able to go for a full month or longer without having to take the humidifiers apart and disinfect them. I am really truly amazed with this product and highly recommend it to anyone who uses filtered humidifiers. I honestly don’t know how anyone could rate this stuff lower than 5 stars. It’s fantastic stuff!!!!

During the winter months, I run my humidifier every day to keep the humidity level around 42% for my piano. I have been using this product by PUREFY for a year now and it is, by far, the BEST humidifier treatment product I’ve ever used… and I’ve been using similar products for over a decade! In the past, I’ve always used name-brand products recommended or made by the same manufacturer as my humidifier (often times two separate products at once). But nothing (and I mean NOTHING) has kept my humidifier clean like this product. As mentioned on the product label, it has eliminated “the need for periodic cleaning [when] used consistently”. And I love that I don’t have to wear gloves or take extra precautions to use it since it’s “non-toxic and VOC free” with “NO alcohol, synthetic fragrance, benzene, parabens, pthalates, silver”. So I long as I have access to this product, I will NEVER use another!!!

The product works well and effectively clears the air and particles. However, living in the Middle East means I have to pay extra for shipping, which is weight-based and quite expensive. A smaller size option would be appreciated. Additionally, the opening is too large, making it difficult to pour without spilling.

I’ve used this additive for an about 2 months and just ordered another bottle. It is affective at preventing mold but I still get some scale in my ultrasonic humidifier.
They recommend 2 oz. per gallon (assuming they mean fl oz that’s 1/4 cup). I usually use about 3 tablespoons in my humidifier that holds just under a gallon. When using it at the recommended concentration, there is a little smell if you’re near the humidifier.
Overall I would recommend but it is a little pricey. I need to clean my humidifier about every 2 weeks instead of every few days.

This basically seems like a Hypochlorous acid-based humidifier treatment. If you look that up on any popular web search engine, you’ll see that it’s a disinfectant used for everything from cleaning surfaces in the restaurant industry to “fogging” office buildings in order to disinfect them. I don’t believe the strength of the hypochlorous acid solution is listed, but they have nailed a product that works well for humidifiers – I’ve tried using other hypochlorous acid 500ppm products in my humidifier but they seem to aggravate my lungs (and also, leave a stronger smell) – this stuff doesn’t. That could just be because it’s at the perfect strength for humidifiers. You can *make* your own hypochlorous acid solution at home using a generator system – again, you can just do a web or Amazon search for various types – and that probably would work as well. From what I have read this stuff is basically the safest disinfectant that you can use that actually works. You can’t use chemical based things like “Golden solution” in ultrasonic humidifiers but you can do exactly that with this.
Could I dilute the 500ppm Hypochlorous acid solutions more or make my own for less money? Possibly, but this product works, it works very well, and the only thing that I have used that seemed to be as effective and non-irritating as this are colloidal silver solutions sold for humidifier disinfecting, and they are quite a bit more expensive to use.
Purefy-life also sells this product at what I believe is a higher concentration of “active ingredient” (Hypochlorous acid) for “large size humidifiers” but the only difference I can see is that this is 2oz per gallon of water and the other is 1oz per gallon of water, so that is another way to save a little on the purchase price.
It’s *dry* where I live usually, and humidifiers are a must for personal comfort. I can’t imagine going back to having to clean and disinfect my humidifiers every 24-48 hours which I used to have to do in order to prevent “red bacteria” growth and general nastiness. Very effective and seems quite shelf stable for a hypochlorous acid product, though there doesn’t seem to be an expiration date on the bottle. I generally use the stuff within a month or two of purchase.
Five stars for working well until something better comes along that I can safely breathe in mist form!

This is my 3rd purchase of this wonderful liquid. I live in a very good northern state and I use multiple humidifiers in my home. I used to have to clean them weekly with vinegar and scrub and stress out about mold and mildew. Well since I purchased this product? No more. It’s so awesome. I pour in 2 oz with every fill and it never grows anything. It’s amazing. It’s super expensive but you get what you pay for in this life. My peace of mind and not having to smell vinegar makes the price worth it. Do I wish it was cheaper? Yes. But it’s magic in a bottle so whatevs.
