I bought this AC because I moved into a new apartment that didn’t have furnished air conditioning. This was my first experience with a through the wall unit. Installation was quick and easy. It took less than 30 minutes to install but did require two people to perform. It’s a heavy unit, coming in at just under 80 pounds, but two people can handle it easily. The remote control works well but requires a direct line of sight to work which isn’t an issue in a small apartment. It moves air very well and has kept my apartment cool and at a low humidity, all summer even when the humidity was over 80% and the temperature was at 100 degrees. The display is bright and easy to read and the on-unit controls are easy to use and understand. The filter on my unit sticks a little when taking it out for cleaning but not terribly so. The unit tells you when to clean the filter with a built-in warning light. Cleaning the filter is quick and easy and I use some dish soap, a small brush, and warm water over my kitchen sink. All in all a very good unit for the price. My heating/ cooling bill almost went up by about 80% compared to the winter months but I was expecting that as the building has forced water heating and any AC uses a good amount of electricity. I would recommend the unit to others given my experience with it so far.

It was a bit of a challenge to find an affordable wall unit the right size (both physically and BTUs) and that I could have reasonable confidence would work well for years. So I was very happy to find this one!
It came slightly dented, but in a way that I don’t think should affect its functionality, and in the back so it doesn’t hurt appearance. I’ve only just installed it and have yet to have temps high enough to require it, but it blows cold air and does it quietly, so I’m happy with it. Of course, the real test will be in July/August when it gets really hot.

Easy slide in thru-wall unit. Not so heavy and the remote works well and is compact. Maybe too compact as I can see it easily getting lost. However, the controls on the face of the unit are easy to operate. I’m very happy with the product for use in C apartments and I will be back for more.

Works accordingly. Love the dehumidifier for the cooler days.

This is a fairly heavy item but it arrived in good condition. The dimensions were as advertised and it slipped right into my existing frame. It is very sturdy when compared to my old A/C and is much more energy efficient. Everything functioned right out of the box.

I had a previous sleeve from a Friedrich heating and a/c unit and wanted to retrofit this unit. It works, but this unit is much smaller and required a lot of foaming and extra insulation to fit properly. This unit is much louder and does not cool the room as well. I would not recommend the Friedrich unit either as the unit lasted a few months before the fan went out and started blowing foam insulation all over the room. This unit is adequate for now, but I don’t buy the specs. It’s in a 350 sq.ft. Room and cranked on all of the time to keep that room cool.

I like how easy it was to install and it cools down my grandma’s apartment minutes after turning it on.

The unit is quiet, fits as expected, and works as expected. But 12000 BTU is a huge stretch. I would anticipate cooling output of about half that. I have a 500 sqft room, and while the unit eventually cools it down noticeably, it never gets it “cold”. I’d say you’re looking at getting the temp down from the 90s to around 80 degrees at best. And this is with a ceiling fan and two stand fans to circulate the air.
edit: 7/21/20 – Unit stopped working consistently a few weeks ago. Will blow cold for a few minutes then shut off. I reset it, cleaned the filter, etc. Contacted both seller and manufacturer and got nowhere with either, never heard back from manufacturer. A waste of money. Better off spending more on a quality unit with a reliable company like Kenmore, LG, etc.
