I love it!!! Easy to set up and easy to fine tune operation to desired humidity level. This humidifier definitely and emphatically works as advertised – period.
I live in Nevada; ambient humidity can be less than 5%. Over the years I have tried smaller ultrasonic humidifiers, and they just don’t do the job. I set this unit at 55% and it maintains +49% humidity as measured by separate hydrometer within 6 feet of the unit. Also, with the Levoit I’ve noticed less static, I feel better, and I sleep better. The 6 gallon tank usually lasts 3 days dependent on outside humidity. I still augment with a smaller ultrasonic unit in the bedroom. I clean the unit at every fill-up using a mild vinegar solution to clean the unit, rinse well and spray clean the filters, Cleaning takes me 15 to 20 minutes. I use only osmosis water to fill so I don’t deal with calcification/mineralization on the filters. I have a 1500 sq ft home.

We have a larger house and here in the desert its quite dry. Almost always less than 20% humidity inside. I bought this humidifier as it seemed like a good fit for what we needed it for. The living room is always so dry and dusty we bought this and the large air purifier to clean and humidify the air to help with alergies. Both work very well. This humidifier can bring the room humidity up to over 50% and probably higher with no problems. When it gets this high I have to switch it to “Auto” mode which adjusts the humidity in the room back down to a comfortable level. So far it has been easy to keep clean. It would be nice to have a larger tank option or maybe a way to plumb it into a waterline as the larger tank is a little heavy for my partner. The tank will last about 2 and 1/2 days before needing to be refilled (6 gallon tank).
Over all this is a great humidifier and I would recommend it to anyone living in a desert.

This is more of a preview of my review as I have just bought this item and won’t start using it until late September probably. I live in Minnesota and the air in the winter time is super dry and I use a humidifier in my 900 sq ft condo from late September until early April to battle all the issues that come with dry air.
The last several years I’ve been using the 6 gallon Airfare humidifier and it has been a workhorse – very effective, super simple design however I’ve always been on the look out for a more attractive looking, more functional humidifier with maybe a little bit of tech involved and that also had a 4-6 gallon tank – very hard to find – however I think this item will fit the bill. I probably use 2-3 gallons of water in the dead of winter every day in a humidifier to keep my home humidity in the 35-45% range.
My very initial thoughts on this product are – great design and build. Super simple set up. The app worked fine – it found the device and connected to it with no issue. The fan is whisper quiet on level 1 – and still very quiet on level 2. Even on level 1 and 2 the fan output upwards seem very good – moving a lot of air.
I will update this review with more detail in a couple months with more detail once I actually start to use it.

Finally an option for a high quality humidifier that will last.
My old humidifier, the Aircare console, at the time was really the only option for an effective humidifier, but had so many issues. After only 2 weeks of owning it, the screen started showing the “EE” error code and would restart the fan over and over. They did send a replacement, however that one had the exact same issue a few months later and would happen off and on. The build quality wasn’t great either, and felt very flimsy. But when it worked, it was really effective, boosted the humidity in my apartment from 20% to 50% in about an hour and sustained it well.
The 6000s’ design and build feels much higher quality than the other options and it’s extremely effective. My entire apartment went from 15% to 55% humidity in 45 minutes, and sustains that level more efficiently it seems. The noise level is also MUCH quieter on the 6000s than any other humidifier I’ve tried. The app is also really good, and gives alot of control. You have alot control over fan speed and humidity targets than other options as well. The design of the water tub is also very simple and easy to clean, compared to the aircare.
Overall it seems to be the best option for an evaporative humidifier and by far the highest quality. Will have to see the lifespan of the filters though. It’s expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Decent evaporative humidifier that does good job of maintaining humidity in the home. With some drawbacks.
Humidistat is off by up to 10% (higher than other measurements in the same room)
Auto function only works at 50% (So, 40% since it is 10% inaccurate), and to change this you have to make an account on an app. Unnecessary data grabbing from Levoit. Shouldn’t have to make an account to use the app. Even so, auto features are limited from what I read from others.
I use the % mode and set it to 60% with the fan at the high setting in winter. There is no variable speed on this setting like there is with the auto setting, but oh well. It will short cycle for a few minutes when it reaches close to threshold. Then it turns off for a while, until a 10% drop occurs and then turns back on.
It is fairly quiet and will go through six gallons in approximately 48 hours on colder nights and days. It is extremely easy to refill with the faucet tube adapter.
Other than the “features” of this unit, and the wheels being hot garbage as they have to tendency to resist rotating, I have no complaints about its overall function.
The filters are becoming discolored after about two weeks of use. I am not sure how long they will last before needing replacement. I am using tap water since I’m assuming the chlorine in it helps fight some of the bacteria. If you use filtered water, they may accumulate mildew at a faster pace. I have not yet tried to clean them.
