If you’re looking for an air conditioner this isn’t for you. It’s better than any other fan I’ve had I bought additional I’ve packs from the dollar store and add cold water and the air blows with a chilling affect

This is not an air conditioner it’s an air cooler. Add cold water into the top and bottom then add two ice packs from the freezer, it comes with four. This cooler will throw cold air and bring the room temp down significantly. It can also simply be a fan without the water and ice packs. This is not also not a mister, no water comes out. It comes with a remote and works great.

This fan has two modes.
The first mode is a floor standing fan. Not particularly different than other standing fans, but easily holds its own.
The second mode is a “swamp cooler” — don’t worry, I just learned what this is, too. This is not a full blown air-conditioning unit. No HVAC here. But what it does is add cooled water to the air flow from the fan. The water vapor does help cool you down more than just the fan does, though don’t expect A/C results.
There are two places to add water. A large opening in the base, and a small opening on top. Best I can tell, the top opening — which has a very small reservoir, simply drains down to the larger reservoir underneath. But it’s easier to access the top opening to top off the water level.
It also comes with 2 small freezer blocks (for the top reservoir, which will hold 1 at a time), and 2 larger ones for the lower reservoir. Freeze the blocks, drop them in the water, and it’ll help with the cooling. When they reach room temperature, swap out with the 2nd frozen block in the freezer.
Couple of things to note: the fan does not rotate like other floor fans do. To much to move around with the water weight. Instead, the louvres in front of the fan swing left and right, to move the air flow around.
And while the fan can run continuously and unattended, make sure not to run the cooling mode when the water level drops too low. That can damage the unit. An auto-off mode when the water level drops would have been a nice addition.
Note: I’ve just discovered if it starts making regular noises when the cool mode is on, your water level is likely too low. Add water and the noises will go away.
