Patty –
I live in Florida and humidity is always an issue.
I put a packet on top of my salt shakers which keeps the salt from getting wet from humidity

Tiny packets to fit in a hearing aid case. Safe and works well as advertised.

I bought these to use in some of my spices. Florida is HUMID and even with lids closed tightly, spices get clumsy. These are a great size and solution.
I haven’t used them long enough to test out the “re-use” feature, but they are reasonable enough that even if they didn’t have this, they are worth the purchase.

dries moisture from hearing aids

I dehydrate vegetables and I use these to keep the oxygen out when I package the dehydrated vegetables. Never had an issue with this product. Will be buying again soon

If you have items that you want to keep dry and you store it in a sealed container than these are perfect for you. I am happy with their longevity. I put some inside my storage totes in the fall and they still haven’t turned colour. When they do just change them out and put the “wet” ones in the oven to dry out and reset.

Due to how amazon diplays the orders for review, my previous review was not meant for this itme. I love this item!
Judy in the skies –
I use two of these in our safe, and I replace them every three months. If I don’t, I notice that papers stored in the safe feel moist, and that can’t be good.

I also received beads in plastic packs as opposed to the breathable fabric ones pictured. I was skeptical (of the product and the naysayers), so I did some testing. I placed a pack in a sealed container with some water, making sure the pack wouldn’t touch the water. After 3-4 days, they do start to turn green. There are very small holes in the plastic that allow moisture to get in. If you poke holes in the plastic with a safety pin, they it will turn green in about one day in this same experiment, so they can me made to absorb faster if you need them to. I deducted a star for not supplying the product as shown, but I think the plastic packs will still work for most people’s needs.
One more thing, if the colored beads get submerged in water, they will turn purple, and as far as I can tell, they can’t be dried out after that. I have one pack that turned purple and I can’t get it to change no matter what I do.
