We have cycled through a few of these over the years.. three dogs and a cat can make for a smelly house, no matter how much we clean. We leave the ozone and fan on more than we should – I know you’re not supposed to have the ozone running with people or animals in the house but we run it on the lowest setting. It eliminates pet odor completely.
This does have a high pitched noise when turned on – I don’t love that, but for what it does, I’ll take it. It is Easy to move from room to room and the plates are easy to clean, but I do struggle with getting the dust out of the vent on the back. I take the vacuum and attachments to it!

I had a Living Air for years and it was 700 dollars back at purchase time. My sister was selling them and obviously she didn’t give a discount. This one loads easier and quickly in a low setting it cleans the odor from cooking really fast. Low speed is enough for fresh air. Also when my hands have food odor like onions or garlic I hold my hands up to it and the odor is gone.

I run a small 501(3)(c) Pomeranian Rescue out of my home, so we always have a full house of fluffy butts! I bought this unit to help minimize any doggie odor, especially after rainy days. I picked this maker/model because it was priced right, had the amount of power I needed for the space, and the warranty.
Everything was fine for the first 6 months, then I noticed it was making a different noise. A couple weeks later I started noticing a doggie small when I’d come home from work which made me go check it and found that it was completely dead. It is not showing any signs of life. I wasn’t worried because I knew we were still in the one year warranty period, so I took a picture of the back of the machine so I’d have the serial number and contacted the company via their support site.
It is now one week and I don’t know how many emails back and forth and they are just giving me the run around. They are stating they can’t find my order. I sent them a screenshot of my Amazon account, a PDF copy of the invoice from Amazon, and the photo of the back of my machine. Then they asked for the original order confirmation email from 8 months ago! I’m sorry, but I have my email set to purge after 6 months unless I flagged it for some reason.
Frustrated after a week of this I ask if there is a number I can call. After I received the number, I sat down at my desk at 9:00 am hoping to get everything straight out. I dial the number only to have a recording tell me that customer service hours are from Mon-Fri, FROM 4-6:00 PM ONLY! What?! You only accept customer calls for two hours a day?!? Then the recording invited me to leave a message and someone would return my call after 5:00? I’m still waiting on that call and if their response time to emails is any indication, I will be waiting a while…
In the meantime, I have a dead machine with 4 months left on the warranty and a sinking suspicion I am going to get screwed and they are not going to honor their warranty which is clearly a point of sale for them as they list it right under the price.

I purchased the Mammoth Ion and Ozone generator in early 2020. The fan failed during the warranty period. Customer service quickly sent me a new one right away!! It worked great for years, but after working continuously in a challenging environment and a couple long distance moves later, the transformer failed.
Looking back on this product, I got exactly as advertised, great customer service, and a reasonable lifetime of the unit. I would definitely buy from Mammoth again! Although, this time I think there are more competitive options for an ozone type of air purifier.
PS Looking for a part replacement is not worth simply upgrading to a newer model or picking up another one of these.

I have bought Alpine Air units in the past and this unit surpasses them all. Truly a commercial use item. I have it set on the lowest setting possible, it is plugged into the house system blower, so that it only runs when the circulating system runs and it is doing a 4,000 sq house just fine. Smells great every time the furnace(a/c) kicks in.

Bought this to replace a different brand we’d had about 25 years. This one is smaller in size, but it might actually be more powerful! It’s also very quiet! Our old one was a very expensive model that we purchased when these air purifiers first became available. It was much bigger and VERY noisy! Glad we were able to buy one that costs so much less, but works just as well, if not better!
