I bought this product for my basement as it was needed.
What a big difference, you can feel the air is dryer and smells cleaner too, great buy 😊

I bought this Midea dehumidifier for my mom who lives in Miami, and it’s been working great! The humidity there can be crazy, but this dehumidifier handles it perfectly. It’s the ideal size for her space, not too bulky but powerful enough to cover her entire living room and bedroom.
She loves that it’s Energy Star certified, so it’s efficient, and the 22-pint capacity is just right for keeping the air comfortable without constantly having to empty it. The reusable air filter is also a nice bonus, making maintenance super easy. If you’re looking for something for a humid climate like Miami, this is a great choice!

I purchased the 3000 Sq model back in March of 2021. I live in Florida and this dehumidifier has been running non-stop ever since. The humidity for most of the year is over 95%. This think has been keeping the humidity down around 40% to 45%. I run my A/C at 80 degrees, where I am comfortable.
Due to the amount of water this dehumidifier pulls out of the air does require dumping the reservoir several times a day. In the rainy season, I have had to empty the tank at least three to four times a day, due to 100% humidity. The rest of the year is at least two times a day.
I have read s9me of the reviews about this thing beeping when the tank is full at night, when people are sleeping. I solved that by emptying the tank before going to bed, then again when I get up, regardless if the tank is full or not.
This makes the house much more comfortable with lower humidity. The other think is how it has held up, it has been running 24 hour a day, seven days a week for the past three years. That is almost 26,000 running hours without any issues, so far.
As far as electrical use, it has had no effect on my electic bill. I think it is allowing my central A/C to run better because the A/C condenser is not getting all gummed up with very humid air going through it.
Allowing it to run more efficiently. This could be off setting the cost to run the dehumidifier.
As far as the sound, it is more lik3 white noise. My A/C makes more noise that this dehumidifier. I only here it when thexA/C turns off.
I do know that I am able to run the A/C less because the less humid air feels cool. When we have 70 degree temperatures with 100% humidity, I was running the A/C to lower the humidity, not the temperature. Now the dehumidifier is doing that job.
The only thing is, it does not have a pump to pump the water into sink or tub to drain. Even the larger model only empties the tank into a floor drain. It will not pump vertical for a few feet.
If Midea made one that would/could pump the water a few feet vertically (not their cube model), I would buy it.
Over all, I would buy this one again 1) because of how well it has held up 2) How well it does its job of removing the humidity.

Working very good for our basement. We got about a gallon of water a day. We can feel the basement air is dryer now. A little bit noisy in the first 2 hours when you turn it on, so I don’t think it’s good for bedroom. So far we are happy with it.

I love this thing I should have bought one earlier. My basement was running around 60 it is now down to 40, I had to empty this 3 times a day. I hooked up a hose now it is set and forget even though I check it at least twice a day. I haven’t tried the app because of permissions but I might.
Good quality, very effective, great price and fast delivery what more could you ask for.
Thanks!

I live in Northern California, and for the most part due to low rain, and drought in the past, didn’t have much high humidity to speak of. This year has been very different, with a lot of warm rain every few days and weeks, bringing in 99%, and 100% humidity days for a pretty long stretch.
So much so, I noticed a very large increase of indoor humidity too. So I got to looking into a seasonal type dehumidifier to help out.
Enter the Midea 1,500 Sq. Ft. Energy Star Certified Dehumidifier.
I purchased it January 28, 2024, and have been getting used to the way it works for the past two weeks.
Dang, what a difference. After doing some further reading on how long to run it at first, I opted to let it do it’s thing for the first 48 hours. Then, run it for 12 hours from mid morning to early evening when the indoor humidity levels were the highest.
I don’t run it on turbo mode, or comfort mode, or continuous mode.
The level has been set at 40%, and it keeps the indoor RH at 40%.
Okay enough of that boring stuff, on to the good part of the review.
The unit is compact, easy to set up, and straight foreword to operate.
I like that it is on wheels to move around if needed easily.
So far I have kept a close eye on the water reservoir, and empty it out when it gets about half full. At first that was twice a day, but as the house has dried out, down to once a day.
So all in all, I myself would recommend it based on my experience so far.
Okay, other stuff.
I read other reviews mentioning leakage. I have not so far had that issue, but I did pick up a catch pan to place underneath just in case. Not sure if this tip is helpful, but before emptying the water bucket, I’ll tip the unit forward to let additional water drain out first.
Other reviews mention the fan is loud. Perhaps it is a bit, but not any more loud than running the AC fan in the summer, and certainly not excessively loud. This unit was designed to move air and circulate in a 1,500 square foot space, and it does a bang up job of it.
I’ve only had it for about two to three weeks so I can’t speak to it’s longevity, but really these days appliances aren’t built for and don’t really last for decades anyways. They’re all disposable, and that’s the way it is.
The house is perceptively less humid, feels great, and that weird winter time musty aroma that would occasionally seep up from the crawl space has vanished.
With all that said… It’s up to you, but I’d give this one a shot.
