I bought this item for my ice fishing tent and was amazed at how well it worked . Used it for heat and for cooking and was pleasantly surprised how well it worked. Would definitely recommend for camping or ice fishing

I used this product to warm my feet under my desk (to block the light going straight to my eyes) while working. I’ve enjoyed using this heater and emptied 3-4 16oz propane tank until I’ve notice white smoke coming under the unit and started to burn a separate fire. Good thing it happened in front of me and while I was working. I was able to safely turned it off.
I never used it thereafter.

On low, it uses 1 lb. of propane in 2½ hours. The CO output (on low) is ~ 3.5 ppm per hour into a sealed 1000 cu ft (10’x10’x10′) room. (This is very low compared to camp cooking stoves, which are ~20x higher). Heat coupling efficiency is ~55% when using a very wide pan (14″ diameter pan), which translates to 1400 watts of heating going into the 14″ pan, when the total heat output is ~2500 watts. On high, 1 lb of propane lasts 1½ hours. The per-hour CO output on high is ~1.3x compared to the low setting. I would avoid using the high setting because it heats nearby surfaces quite a lot. As a space heater, it is comparable to the Little Buddy.

I bought this unit as a replacement for my 25 year old kerosene heater. It performed well last winter to take the chill off my 1 car garage shop/man cave. This winter I pulled it out and found the valve no longer works. I tried Coleman bottles and the larger tank with no success.
Needless to say I currently do not suggest spending your money on this product.

The only reason I gave this one less star is because of how I’ve used it. I purchased two of these for use during soccer season in Northern California now that CIF moved the season into the winter. We’ve faced field temperatures in the 40’s and had JV players shivering after their game while they had to wait for varsity to finish theirs so they could all get back on the bus. These units put out great heat. The one downside was that the furnace sat two low in a horizontal position, and it singed the plastic turf on the fake fields. That’s my only criticism, which really isn’t one. What I’ll eventually do is outfit a stand for these so that the heat doesn’t burn or melt anything below. I haven’t used it as a stove yet, but I imagine these work great due to the amount heat they put out. Great product.

Good service and response 👍

It heated up immediately. I turned down to low and ran for about 30 seconds to a minute. Worked as expected. Retained hit for a few minutes after turning off.
I really like that this will serve double duty as space heater + single burner for cooking.
Can’t wait to see how long a full Coleman canister of fluid will last.

Used this heater to go ice fishing at the beginning of March. My ice shelter is a 3 person Eskimo and the temperature was about -10 C. This kept us toasty warm for the 3 hrs we were there and also worked great to cook a couple of smokies. Would definitely recommend.

This is my third one I’ve bought. The others were stolen. This was very reliable heat when my power was out for a week and I camped in my living room. Do raise it off the floor when using in horizontal heating mode, otherwise you’ll melt or burn your carpet/flooring. I put mine on a step stool. It was in the 20s outside and my home is fairly well insulated. This heater kept me from freezing and heated water for freeze dried meals and hot beverages.
I had one of these years ago, living in a 24′ RV, off the grid. I’d fire this thing up and make perked coffee first thing in the morning, by the time the coffee was done, 15 minutes, I could shut it down as the place was toasty.
Do keep a window or two cracked for ventilation when using this indoors.
I use 5 gallon propane tanks with mine. (Easier for me to maneuver.) I got the flexible hose to facilitate use of my tanks.

I used this 3 times so far for ice fishing in a shanty. The small propane bottles last 2 hours on low, 1.5 hours on medium and 1 hour on high. I rarely used it on high because it pumps out a good amount of heat. I used it on high the one morning it was minus 9 and kept warm in an uninsulated shanty. I am very happy with the ease of use. Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something to push heat out, not warm a small ceramic cube for radiant heat. It pushes heat out a couple feet from the head so I can keep my feet warm with the heater on the other side of the shanty. Buy it, you won’t need another one. I did not use it for warming food, although it looked like it would work pretty easily.

This works like a beast. Warm up a tent real quick. Buy the ft hose and get a 20 lb propane tank. Set it on low to have constant toasty heat last throughout the night. Works super well as a single burner stove too. No more dragging an additional stove. Just bring this. It worked so well, i bought another one as a backup. Well worth every money and the price doesnt break the bank. Buy one now!!!
