I use this in my mobile tire shop. It heats up quickly and make life way easier. It isn’t to large.
2 negatives but can be lived with. 1 fuel cap leaks if you fill it all the way to the top. 2 it stinks when it shuts down. I usually have the temp set high and turn it off when it’s warm enough and move it outside so the truck doesn’t stink from unburned fuel. They all stink when they shut down.

Mine works just fine for me. Just a wisp of smoke on start up. However, a bit stinky on shutdown. I leave the garage door open half way ANYTIME I use a fuel based heater. I am impressed with this thing. It’s super quiet. The thermostat works as advertised (within a 2 degree margin) and I’m running pump diesel. Since off road diesel is the same but dyed, the cost will go way down when I switch to that. It works, plain and simple. I like it. 142watts on start for a few seconds. 114 watts running. Can easily be used with an inverter for camping or whatever. Oh, it throws heat to the left so keep a 4ft radius from the businesses end.

Review after one year of use:
This kerosene heater is designed and adjusted for kerosene use. Let me explain adjusted ; When tested for performance they use white or clear kerosene. Yes it will run on diesel, heating oil #1 heating oil #2 and or jet fuel. White or clear kerosene has a thinner viscosity than diesel, healing oil#1,2 The viscosity is a little thicker not by much but a little. There is a little bit of difference between pump kerosene and kerosene that you get off of the shelf in a 2 1/2 gallon container. The kerosene that you get off the shelf in a 2 1/2 gallon container is a little bit more refined than the pump kerosene from a gas station. Running this unit on white or clear kerosene starts and runs perfectly. If you want to run diesel and or heating oil #1,2 You will have to do the following for this unit to start properly at colder temperatures with out an E1 code. This is through trial and error on my part. BeFor I get into that this is what I did before I came up with this conclusion.
Yes unit is sluggish to start on diesel & heating oil, In colder temperatures of below 40°.
1, Replaced fuel filter twice
2 Replaced injector nozzle once
With no change in start up performance
After some research I found that there is an adjustment on the pressure regulator pump which needs to be adjusted to start and run better on diesel, and heating oil without the E1 code.
I have read all of the reviews on this unit, some have complained about a faulty thermostat which has nothing to do with the start up and running of this unit. Most have complained about the E1 code which is because the fuel that was put into the unit was not the fuel as tested(White or clear kerosene) however yes the unit will run on diesel and or heating oil , it will have starting issues at colder temperatures. But of course that defeats the purpose of having a heater you want a heater to start and run at colder temperatures so you can be comfortable.
Disclaimer: this is my own observation And test results, your results may vary. Proceed with caution!
On the back of the unit you have the digital display the temperature knob and the on off switch
There are four screws that hold the back portion of the heater which contain the LED display, temperature thermostat and on off switch. Remove four screws which part indented. Carefully pull the covering away there are wires in the back that you need to be careful about. Looking at the unit from back to front on the right hand side there is a pressure regulator, The pressure regulator has a thumb screw this is a lead and a test port . Next to the bleed screw there is another screw that is flush with the pump/regulator with a black Marker line drawn through the screw, that is The factory setting. If you were going to run diesel or heating oil in the unit. Put the appropriate amount of fuel into the unit. A minimum of 2 gallons. Plug-in unit with backing cover removed. Turn pressure regulator screw clockwise 1/4 turn (in) , turn unit on. Wait for unit to start , If the unit does not start right away turn screw in clockwise another 1/4 turn. This should be sufficient for the unit to start properly on diesel, and or heating oil.
This is my own observation. Your results may vary.
So far as of today (Nov 13 2019) his unit has started perfectly on 100% heating oil. In the past it was extremely sluggish or did not start at all on diesel oil or eating oil, it would only start on clear/white kerosene or pump kerosene.
Make this adjustment at your own risk.
I will give an update as the temperature gets colder. With a picture of the pump/pressure regulator adjustment screw.

Heats fast and very quiet compared to torpedo heaters. The thermostat does not work well in really cold areas.

I use this in my dad’s shop ( I actually bought it for him) and it heats up the space I am working in. My uncle’s construction crew uses it at the job site to heat up the spaces they are working in. Rolls very easy.
The fuel tank opening is a bit difficult for me because I can’t hold up the gas can but I purchased a different fuel can with the downspout and my problem was solved.
AUSS Customer Service –
I did a lot of research before purchasing this unit. After setup, adding fuel, turned the unit on. Loud self priming noise first few seconds, then it started with a little smoke/odor. After running the unit for about 10 minutes, turned the power switch off, the unit immediately shut the blower off, raw fuel and black smoke came out for about 3 minutes. Waited again, review instructions, stated unit blower should run for 3 minutes for proper cool down before shutting off, however, this is the defect. The unit just stops and proper cooldown does not occur. The only way I could get it to do that is by manually moving the thermostat to get the temp above the current temp, then and only then would it shut off the fuel and run the cooldown cycle to safely shut the unit down.
SECOND safety item, this new style unit is extremely HOT within 1 to 4 feet of the unit! It is way more dangerous than the torpedo units. You can and will actually singe the hair off your hands and arms if it is crosses in front of the unit within 1 to 2 feet, (as in walking by). The air flow is not evenly pumped out the front of the unit like a torpedo style unit, which is actually safer walking past it. THE EXTREEM AMOUT OF HEAT is radiated all around the unit and for some reason more intense toward the top right. USE WITH EXTREEM CAUTION AND DO NOT PLACE NEAR ANYTHING COMBUSTIBLE, HAVE PETS OR SMALL CHILDREN ANY WHERE NEAR THIS THING.
Fuel Gauge Extremely Hard to read.
The only positive comments I can give is:
1. Extremely small and portable.
2. Extremely Quiet.
3. Amazon, thank you for looking into the “possibly safety concern so quickly” !!!! Northern Customer service was very poor in understanding the potential SAFETY ISSUE. They allowed me to print out a return sticker, I told them I cannot return via UPS since they told me it is HAZARD to ship due to Fuel in it. Northern Tool told me to drain the Fuel, take the unit apart and drain out the fuel lines and the fuel filter. ?!? What do they think the consumer is a Jiffy Lube or Mechanic Shop? And was rudely told no return, no refund, speak to Amazon. Well……
