This definitely generates ozone. The ozone works to remove odors from fabrics and permeable materials but it does nothing for odors that have permeated into materials such as vinyl or plastics. For example, it did nothing to reduce odors from someone’s nasty cologne that absorbed into the vinyl covering on a guitar amplifier cabinet, but it did greatly reduce the cologne smell in the fabric lining of a guitar case.

This machine kicks out a good amount of ozone. I was suprised at how much it actually produced. Easy plug and play set up. Small and light weight.Perfect for air purification/ odor elimination. Does a large room in about an hour or a small tent in about 20 minutes. Have used it probably 50 times so far and it still puts out like the day i bought it. Very pleased with my purchase. Delivered fast.

Needed to deodorize our basement after son who smokes lived down there for 6 months, put it in the bathroom, shut the door and ran it for 30 minutes, then opened the bathroom door and left everything alone. The entire basement was fresh smelling. The whole house actually smelled like it had been cleaned. The strong smell (while not unpleasant to us) dissipates after several hours. Several days later I ran it again for 20 minutes. There is no no lingering smell.
Used it in a new to us (used) vehicle that previous owner smoked in for 5 minutes. I should have left the car door shut to let the ozone do its thing but opened the door right after. Going to run it again and this time leave door shut.
Very happy with this purchase, I don’t know how we ever would have gotten smell out of basement.

I manager condo community that sometimes has a guess who might not follow the rules like everyone else. This machine will literally remove the smell of marijuana permanently from a three bedroom 1200 square foot unit in about 3 hours. It has saved us so much money. It worked better than what our carpet company did in a unit that smelled like pet. It works on smoke smells and pet smells very well. I’ve used it about seven times and am so impressed. I highly recommend this product.
