I’m pleasantly surprised what a great little unit this thing is! Out of the box, it looks solid and of high quality. There’s a rheostat ON/OFF which operates smoothly with a quality feel. The unit is designed to plug into and run on a wall outlet. While running, the unit emits “electric blue” color light which is similar to a night light. The unit is about as quiet (or loud) as a laptop computer fan. I don’t hear it, but my ears are shot LOL.
To test it out, I ran the unit in a 6×8′ bathroom for an hour with the door shut. Upon entering I noted an overwhelming odor of (I assume) ozone. I mean, I didn’t want to take another breath. So that works! After another hour with the unit OFF this time, the odor persisted.
Next I ran it in a 14×20′ space, again with the door closed. After an hour, there was a noticeable odor of ozone in about half the space.
I bought this unit to do my hunting gear, so I’m pleased and impressed. I plan to use one of those closet garment bags and run the unit therein. FYI, the legit ozone hunting gear bags sell for $100 and up.
As for the ozone, wow! It stinks! I don’t know what to make of it. If you never smelled it, I’d say it’s very much like the chlorine odor of an indoor pool. They say it’s bad for your respiratory tract and IMHO, it’s definitely not something you want your house to smell like all the time.

My husband is a heavy cigarette smoker. I quit years ago. Any ex-Smoker will tell you, cig smoke bothers us more than anyone. We bought four of these for our 3,000sf home. One in the basement near litter box. No more odor from there! One in the kitchen near trash can. Trash odor gone. One behind my beloveds favorite place to sit and smoke…you can actually see the smoke disappear. Whew, Much better! One in the hallway, for residual odors from bathroom, etc. I’m told too much is bad, so we bought these tiny, inexpensive devices. Once in awhile, you get a whiff of the bleachy negative ion scent, which I love, personally. Most important, I no longer cough all night from residual smoke. Pleased
ADDENDUM: These nice little gadgets blew out, all four, after only 6 months of use! Changing my review…Not happy. Would return them, but it’s been too long, I’m sure. Hoped they’d last longer than THAT!

This little thing is mighty! Yes, the turn switch came cracked and damaged, but the product still worked, so I kept it. I just plug it into an open, uncovered outlet and turn it on. Depending on the size of the room, the odor is gone within minutes. I moved into an apartment and the last tenant was a smoker, so the front closet smelt like cigarettes. I tried every deodorizer and air freshener under the sun. Then, I bought this little thing. I opened the closet door, placed the Plixio into the nearest outlet, and let it work. Within an hour the whole room, not just my closet, smelt clean! It no longer smells like cigarettes! I now use it around my house before I have guests over and after I take out the trash. I also brought it to my sister’s house when we had a scotch & cigar party. There was a small room between the garage where everyone was smoking and the house. I put it in there, turned it on, and when people moved in and out of the house, the house didn’t smell like cigars!
I love this thing and recommend it to anyone who just want the house to smell clean, not like air fresheners.
It does get hot when kept on for long periods of time. I recommend only keeping it on for an hour at a time.

This is my second unit, and the unit(s) work well when new. Unfortunately, after a few months the fan motor starts to get loud and eventually fails. If not for this shortcoming in design, this product would most likely continue to operate successfully; generating adequate amounts of ozone.

Our small dogs are pad trained for emergencies, but in their old age they’ve started to abuse the privilege. It tends to smell if we don’t notice it for a day as it sits tucked in the corner out of sight. I bought one of these to plug into the wall above it to help with the odor, and it works like a charm. There is no smell anymore unless they urinate on the same spot on the pad repeatedly and it goes unnoticed.
One downside, the fan is crap. It started making noise within 3 months and has recently gotten bad enough that I felt like the wall was vibrating with it. I pulled it apart and replaced the fan and now everything’s great again. For those interested, it’s. 40mm x 40mm x 10mm 12v 0.10a fan with a 2 pin connector.

I wanted something to freshen (not perfume) the air in my living room, which gets a musty or funky odor sometimes–maybe from the carpet? Who knows. No cleaning has been able to eradicate it and it’s only when it’s too cold or too hot to have any windows open. The room is about 12×15 and open to a hallway and dining room. Air purifiers for that size space are (a) expensive and (b) bulky. Also, instructions often say to keep the purifier a few feet out from the wall. I don’t have space for that. So, I got 2 of these, figuring if one was enough I could send the other back, or if I needed both, well they’re cheap enough. Turns out 1 manages the space just fine but I kept both because they’ve come in so handy. Leaving it on at a low level, the air just smells CLEAN. I keep one in the room for which it was intended and the other travels around where I need it.
Note: When it’s on a high setting, there is a noticeable ozone smell. I don’t mind this at all but if it’s the sort of thing that bothers you, just run it when you won’t be in the room. It dissipates quickly when turned off.
Other uses: I’ve had it in the bathroom (worked amazing). I’ve put it in the car to get rid of wet dog and pizza smells (where I have an AC adapter, obviously this won’t go in a car’s lighter port on its own). I *so* wished I had it on a recent trip when my hotel room smelled like awful perfumed cleaning product layered over old cigarette smoke..this is going on my packing list from now on! I love that is compact, lightweight, and takes so little maintenance. Awesome awesome little product.
