I initially had a difficult turning it on, but it didn’t need anything but a gentle touch on the button and I haven’t had any issues since. I’ve been mostly using it as a fan, but when I click the colder “mist” button, a temperature shift is immediately noticeable. It has a nice oscillation range (called shake), and has fun LED lights.
The highest level of breeze (3) is a bit loud, but 1-2 are typical white noise. I have this running in my office, which gets pretty warm during the summer, so this is a really nice addition to my space. I’ve had a small handheld fan on my desk, which did the job, but it was isolated to my desktop and I didn’t like having it blow directly on my face.
The negative thing on this fan is the use of water. The directions say “cannot start cooling without water”, but I think water is only used with the cool feature, not the basic fan. It’s unclear if you need to have it all the time. Adding water is a little awkward as it’s top heavy and remains connected so you have to be coordinated to keep it in place, hold it open to avoid it tipping over and pour the water in, minding the “max” mark.
All this said, if you have a smaller space that needs cooled, I do recommend this fan.

Do not expect a full blown air conditioner at this price point. This is a glorified fan with a cooler.
It is a bit noisy and does an okay job for what it is designed for.
It is good for small spaces like at your desk, but anything beyond that, this is not the fan/cooler for you.

I live on a boat so fans need to be everywhere to keep the temperature and humidity bearable.
I like this a lot because of the square base – it won’t fall over. Also it’s light weight and is super easy to move from place to place. I keep this in the galley right now, it’s always plugged into a USB port and has been running nonstop for days.
I like that this is powered by a USB cord and not a typical plug in cord. It has to do with the boat and electricity use. Plus I don’t worry about this getting hot at the cord causing potential disaster.
I have not used this with water, I only use it as a fan. It has three speeds.
The only thing I don’t like is the constant whirring noise. I keep it on the highest speed and it is constantly whirring loud enough to drive me crazy if I let it.
Eventually I will move this to the area where we keep the cats litter box to keep the air circulating down there, but for now I’m enjoying it all for myself.

Despite the bad reviews from others, I like this fan. I didn’t expect it to work like an air conditioner. I remember putting a bowl of ice in front of a fan to get the air a little cooler, this fan uses water (and ice) that you fill the bottom with. It has three speeds, it oscillates, and it has colors that you can turn on. It can be used as just a plain fan without turning the chiller on, but when you turn the chiller on, it does produce a mist, which when you are hot, feels good. It will make paper wet if it is too close, so be mindful of that. It is also pretty loud on the highest setting.

Like others have mentioned, this will not “cool” the air, but it does mist water using a fan. Another common name for this is a swamp cooler. The highest fan speed is strong enough to feel from about 4ft away, so if you’re in need of a personal misting fan, this is a nice little unit. However, don’t expect to cool a room or anything. I highly suggest using iced or chilled water.
A couple things to note:
• The water tank is not sealed
• Do not point toward electronics
• The buttons are touch sensitive
• Includes an extra filter, but the filter needs to be changed every 3 months
One thing that I wish this was capable of would be cordless power via some kind of battery. You need to leave this plugged to a USB outlet. The USB-A power adaptor is not included.

Nice little fan. Good size that doesn’t get in the way on a nightstand or tabletop. Quiet, functional, as described.

This item should be listed as a humidifier and not an “Air Conditioner”.
I got this as I’ve seen a couple in use and was impressed by the price and figured I’d give it a try.
Here are my reasons for 1 star:
1) The actual picture of it pointing towards a laptop is a joke, as this thing actually sprays water mist.
If you didn’t know, water and electronics DO NOT MIX.
2) My $5 usb desk fan blows more air on low than this does on high.
I figure they don’t want it actually soaking the area around it, so keep the fan low.
3) The oscilating option causes the unit to actually walk around the desktop,
So, if you leave it alone, it could actually walk off the desktop.
I called my friend with a similar unit, and that unit has a radiator design instead of spraying open water.
His will hold more water and ice. The fan can easily blow paper off the desk and the hinge on his is metal, not plastic. He also advised he got it from a popular seller in the mall on sale and only paid $35.00 plus tax.
This will be going back asap for a refund and this low rating.

With temperatures across the nation reach scorching levels, people who can’t afford central air conditioning are looking for low-cost help. This unit is designed to cool small areas like bedrooms. It’s essentially a mini-swamp cooler, and that’s okay because it can provide some relief.
The unit does produce some noise, which could be an issue for light sleepers who place it near the bed. But it does run for 6 to 8 hours, and that could make the difference for those who have been sweating through their sheets. Filling it with ice water will provide maximum output, but be aware the device releases mist into the air. So, don’t set it two inches from your computer.
For the price, it’s another low-cost tool to help beat the heat.
