It initially worked great. I used it in a small room along with another and between them they kept the humidity level right around 50% which is what I needed it to be at.
I had it in operation exactly 90 days. I went in on my weekly task of emptying the water tray (usually only needed emptied once a week or so) and emptied the water tray. When I put the water tray back in like I always do, it wouldn’t turn back on. No indication of any power. I tried multiple outlets along with some other trouble shooting techniques…..but it’s dead.
I am outside the Amazon return window so I have just emailed the manufacturer so I’ll see how responsive they are.
If it kept working I would happily give it 5 stars…but only getting 90 days of use out of it is a bummer.

I bought this dehumidifier for my freshman year of college. It was common knowledge that the dorm I was assigned had a reputation for being humid. So much so, that during the year I lived there, there was a lovely little mold outbreak. I kept this on in my dorm room pretty much anytime that there wasn’t snow on the ground. In the warmer months, it would fill more quickly. I don’t think it filled up any faster than every 36 hours during peak humidity during my use. It’s easy to empty, easy to clean with a little vinegar when necessary, and really hasn’t become less effective after having it for 6 years. It’s been used for the first straight year, then intermittently for a few months of the year for the last 5. In the town I live in now, humidity isn’t as frequent of a problem. I find myself using a humidifier more often than this dehumidifier, but when I do pop it out of storage, it works rather quickly to manage any stuffiness that is bothering me. It’s super simple to use, with just an on/off switch. There is a plug to easily empty it, which I’ve always repurposed to water plants. For the money, and the size of the space I’ve inhabited (either a small dorm room or a 1 bedroom apartment) it’s worked very well. I wouldn’t expect it to cover more square footage than it advertises. It’s also genuinely quiet, and I like that it shuts of automatically when full. I’m very happy with the unit for what I spent on it.

For the price, I am impressed so far! We have a tiny second bathroom with no windows. It has an exhaust fan that the kids frequently forget to turn on, and as a result, it often feels damp and musty in there. Didn’t need anything fancy, just something more than DampRid. This is a very simple machine – plug it in and turn it on. It’s easy to see the moisture collected and to empty it. The difference it has made is noticeable but it’s small and quiet. My husband was impressed enough to buy one for his shop. Don’t know how well it will hold up over time, but thus far, a great purchase.

The Pro Breeze is the best of the lot for very small dehumidifiers for small areas of 200-300 square feet, like a closet or bathroom that is a long way from the HVAC system. Honestly, I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but thought I would warn you off of this product. Purchased one of the dehumidifiers and it quit working after two or three months. I immediately contacted customer support who, by the way, were amazing to work with, and they shipped me out a replacement. Well, within approximately one month the replacement stop working. This time when I reached out to customer support, they told me to just not to bother about providing proof of anything and they just refunded my money. Meanwhile, while all of this was going on. I ordered yet another one so this is now my third dehumidifier. And – This one quit working within a couple of months as well. So even though the product is worthless, the customer support is amazing! Now I’m going with a completely different brand. I’ve got my fingers crossed on this new one. I’m not sure what the problem was. I had it in a very small enclosed space but I think there truly is just a design flaw in that little guy. It’s not a lot of money so not a big deal but still I think three failures in the span of a few months is a bit ridiculous. I’m still out my money on the second one that I purchased, but I’m not even gonna bother asking for a refund on that one. Good luck , but stay away from this dehumidifier.

I’ve bought this same humidifier 3 times within the past 5 years, for our bathroom that doesn’t dry out easily. The first two worked fine for about two years apiece: since we leave it on all of the time, this wasn’t a huge surprise. The dehumidifier is compact, relatively quiet, and worked well. I had to clean out dist from the little vents every 6 months with a q-tip, but otherwise maintenance was minimal. The third purchase though? Started making a rattling noise just after the return period passed, and is now dead within 8 months. I’ve also noticed that the price on this product has jumped up considerably since my last purchase. We won’t be buying this one again, and it appears to be due to quality control issues (which is too bad, since I appreciated its compact design). Two stars because the legacy product from 5 and 3 years ago worked fine; otherwise I’d give in one.

It’s only small, so you can’t expect a lot. I’ve installed it in a bathroom to help reduce humidity and mould from damp in the winter when we don’t want to open the window. Does a reasonable job. Ideal for this where it’s 12v and the plug with mains voltage can be plugged in outside the bathroom and the 12v fed in. It’s Reciprocal fills after a week or so. I’ve put it on a wall plug timer to kick in after shower time. My partner noticed the noise at night (light sleeper), where I didn’t, hence the need for a timer. The collected water is good for the steam iron, so reduces the amount of deionised water needed to be purchased and I imagine it’s fairly cheap to operate.

Nice and small runs quiet, one complaint is there is no way to take apart the compartment where it catches the water to clean it. Mine quit last night after almost 4 years, disappointing so now I’m looking for another one. If they have an updated version where you can clean the water compartment that would be nice.
