I got this unit about in August of 2023. It’s now June of 2024 and I’ve had the unit for less than a year. I used it in August and September of 2023. The unit produced cold air but was never able to cool off a whole room. I had 2 ACs and had to use them both. If you have an enclosed 10×10 area this unit would cool it off. Anything bigger and you’ll need more BTUs.
I didn’t use it much in 2023 and turned it on again in 5/2024. I ran it pretty much everyday, 24/7 and 6/25/2024 the unit stopped producing cool air. The flow of water wasn’t coming out anymore and I suspect a water pump might be broken. If you tip the unit and remove the excess water, then the unit starts cooling again. But you have to do it every 15 minutes manually. Otherwise the water doesn’t come out and the unit stops cooling. So essential this unit is broken. I used it for about 4 months out of the year I had it. I just ordered another better dual hose unit from Amazon. So I have about a week of heat to bear. Buy at your own risk!
Update – 06/24 The unit was not cooling off. Water would build up but then when you tilt the AC it would start blowing cool air again. And then the pump kicked in about 2 hours after of running it. Now it’s working like before except I keep it at 70 degrees. Instead of 62 like before. Water comes out normally. And keep in mind I run this 24 7 non stop! So so far so good. Definitely worth the price… I’ll keep you updated. Cancelled the other AC for now BTW.

Overall thank God for portable air conditioner. I live on the top floor and gets very hot in the summer. To make matters worse the bedroom window gets direct west facing sun all day. The portable air conditioner is BEAUTIFUL. The size, works well to move around and draws all the heat out in a matter of minutes, 9.5/10. Noise level is a little loud at first until you get use to it.

Look at the photo, and then look at what my verified purchase was for. The difference between the two is that I purchased an 8000btu air conditioner, but that is not what I received. As you can see in the photo clearly displayed is the fact that this ac unit is actually 5000btu which is a little more than half as effective. So it is completely ineffective for my 300sqft apartment. It only cools the air directly in front of the unit. I do have the exhaust properly directed and sealed to the outdoors, and all other windows, which are insulated, closed as well. This unit is just not powerful enough to cool this apartment down. It may work in a small bedroom that is sealed from the rest of the space. But that’s all 5000btus can do…which is why I didn’t buy a 5000btu ac, I bought an 8000btu ac unit. Seller is so far unhelpful in fixing their “mistake”.

Works ok. But it’s constantly full of water and doesn’t drain properly. Every 30 mins or so I have to tilt the ac to get the water to drain put. It worked great the first 2 weeks and then the water build up started. Isn’t very loud. Pleased with appearance & it’s easy to move around. Keeps the room cool until it builds up with water again.

This works like a charm, just as good as the name brands, picked this up for my son who has a basement apartment with small windows so a window unit was a no, His apartment is bigger then the 350 Sq.ft. this unit pushes ,and it cools the whole apartment and doesn’t use lots of energy, small and convenient and is easy to store away in a closet.

i’ve been looking for something like this for three years, small, portable, and efficient. not loud at all, gets the job done. easy installation. gets super cold. takes a little bit to get your room cold but when it does, perfecto. maybe buy a spare exhaust hose if you need to run the length of it out a window, the one that comes with it isn’t too long. 10/10 recommend

I was skeptical but it works great, the only thing I had to adjust to is when it shuts down then starts up again frequently, it’s normal it’s nothing you can’t adjust too.its just how it cycles. Keep the plug for the water in,I thought having a bowl for it to drip into like how an a/c unit drips would be ok ill just empty the bowl lol ya don’t do that woke up to a VERY wet carpet. Since plugging the hole no problems leaking. Haven’t had to drain it either been using it for over 2 months now. Definitely recommend. Easy to install too. Don’t need a big window opening either just big enough for the hose part. Comes with extenders for longer windows. I did line underneath with Styrofoam just for tighter seal. And noise from outside.
