It’s ok…the flame effect is partially made by light projected onto a stencil in the shape of flames, which is very obvious if you’re looking at it straight on. As others have noted, for the price, there’s no excuse it doesn’t come with a remote. Also, the flame brightness is not adjustable. Still, I have to admit it looks better than most competitors.

I love this heater. I purchased this for a my den that I just recently finished. It is very realistic looking. The inspector who came out thought it was real. I’ve been using it now for a few months and so far no issues. It’s quiet and heats my 500 sq ft den. It was easy to put together. I would recommend 👌.

I don’t leave bad reviews as a rule, but this product was such a huge disappointment and it cost more than $600. So I am leaving a review as a warning to others who are considering this heater.
Firstly, it is plastic. Not powder coated steel as described. It’s very flimsy. The two side panels are some type of metal, maybe steel …You can see the seams in the plastic stove pipe from across the room. The flame is not realistic AT ALL. It’s very flimsy. My house 1000 sq ft. This heater won’t even heat the main room adequately. I have a small electric wood stove in my bed room that I paid about $30 for at our local hardware store that has a very realistic flame and it cranks the heat.
Lastly, it does not ship back for free. It would have cost me over $300 to return. I have read the page and it doesn’t say anywhere that shipping is not covered so buy with caution. I now have this big box sitting in my living room that only serves to piss me off. I don’t even want to unpack it again. Don’t know what I’m going to do with it. I certainly don’t want to try to resell it and rip someone else off. Buyer beware.

Advertised as powder coated metal but in reality, a combination of metal and plastic components. To make things worse, the plastic more predominant, including plastic doors, legs, base and top, and even the pipe, which might be the most egregious part of it. Overall, feels cheap and cheugy. Returning.

This stove is cute and works well for heating purposes. We’ve had it a few months and it doesn’t seemed to have slowed in heat output even though we have it running probably 10 hrs/day. I dislike the facts that it is primarily plastic and it has no remote. For how expensive this stove is it should be higher quality material and there’s no reason it shouldn’t have a remote. I knew both these things about it before purchasing but this was the only electric stove I could find that was large enough for this space. Hopefully it continues to heat well for years to come.
