This is an expensive little deodorizing Gadget, and the only reason I ordered it was because online, it states that it lasts 10 years. Many people wouldn’t want to spend $24.99 on a deodorizer, but it would be a great housewarming gift, or for difficult-to-buy-for people. But the box, and the leaflet enclosed, do not mention the main selling point, that it lasts 10 years!! And thatās about the only thing it has going for such an expensive little gadget that no one knows if it works, and for how long.
So, Iāll trust that it works, so that I don’t have to think again about deodorizing the fridge for 10 years! How will I remember that?? But for now, I can stop writing the date on a box of baking soda that goes soggy in the back of the fridge.
It’s a high price to pay for such a convenience.

After trying this air-freshener out in a couple other places, I’ve settled on keeping it on the floor of my front coat-and-shoe closet. I had originally been hoping it could quell the litterbox odor in my small pantry despite the fact that the door to that room has to stay open so the cat can come and go, but it really does need to be used in an enclosed space in order to work well. So next I put it inside a jumbo plastic storage tub to freshen out-of-season clothing that was smelling mildly musty. This small but mighty gizmo did the trick pretty much overnight, at which point I moved it to its present location in my front closet, where I’m hoping it can replace both the hanging bags of volcanic material and the shoe-stuffer bags of activated charcoal that I’ve been using in there to keep everything smelling fresh.
The only negative I have to report about this is that it made my pantry and kitchen smell strange (not bad, just off-puttingly *odd*) for the first 12 hours or so, after which the odor dissipated and hasn’t recurred. Otherwise this seems to be performing as promised (though of course I can’t attest to its longevity yet). It looks so good that it’s a shame to hide it away in a dark closet–I almost wish I *did* need it in my fridge just so I could enjoy seeing more of it!

This is the first time I’ve seen a ‘catalytic decomposition’ filter and I couldn’t seem to really find out info about it, apart from this may be how refrigerator water filters work, so I don’t know if this is legit as a air filter, or whether this will really last for 10 years. I would be pretty happy if it lasted 3-4 years at least, to be competitive to the cheaper disposable charcoal filters or baking soda. I am honestly pretty bad at remembering to recharge/replace monthly on those, so I’m certainly interested in a 10 years set it and forget it solution.
So I don’t know how it will go, but it’s definitely removing odors in the short term, I could tell a difference very soon after placing it in the fridge. The orange color stands out in the fridge and it’s packaged to prevent the metal from being dented en route to you. I’ll test this out for some weeks and am already tempted to pick some up for my freezers.

What can I say? I would love to be able to check my home air of pathogens and what not but I DO know about odors. I don’t often have odors in my fridge so I opted to put it in the bathroom. I can’t yet tell if it is working. I may need to do more research. I’m skeptical because it is just a little metal, orange thingy. I can’t open it up to see what’s going on it there. It’s supposed to work for 10 years! How am I supposed to remember to replace it? Let’s see, that should be about September 2034! I can’t even mark my calendar! It’s orange. Why? I suppose it works well in the refrigerator. I’m just going on all the words on the product box, this thing works great and for a very long time!

I ordered this for the refrigerator in my second home because I have a similar product in my primary home.
It has not disappointed!
Literally there isn’t anything to do except remove it from the packaging and place in your desired spot inside of your refrigerator!
Easy installation and even easier to use, you don’t have to do anything besides smell the difference in your refrigerator.
I like that it’s good for 10 years and you don’t have to use baking soda or anything else – only time will tell if it really lasts the 10 years but so far so good!
For $25, it certainly is more expensive than buying those $1.25 baking soda boxes every month or so but over the course of 10 years that adds up and you have the burden or remembering to purchase and change out the boxes each month.
With this product, you just place in your refrigerator and leave for 10 years – it doesn’t get better than that in my opinion! This is a good buy!

I have put this odour eater in my fridge, difficult to tell if it is actually working, as there is nothing that has a strong smell at the moment. Hopefully it is doing its thing, and the fact it lasts for 10 years is great. Will update in a few months.

I opened this up, placed it in my back fridge (where the seafood is kept when defrosting) and I haven’t noticed anything major, but it is only 1 1/2 days. I’ll update the review once I know for sure.
The odor eliminator feels solid, it is small and if it works as advertised, I will be very happy. Stay tuned

We keep various ethnic foods in our fridge ranging from fermented soy, kimchi, sauerkraut, cheeses and so on so our fridge often stinks. Even worse, the smell penetrated into the freezer and seeps into our beloved ice cream so badly that sweet cream has a slight undertone of garlic. Not ideal by any means. A couple boxes of baking soda is moderately effective but the cost adds up so I gave this little gadget a try. And I am impressed that this attractive, little canister has cleared up most of the smell within 24 hours. I am astonished by its effectiveness and curious how long it will keep refreshing my fridge. And there’s nothing to it also. Just take it out of the box, pop it in the fridge, forget about it and let it do its work. It will most likely outlast our fridge.
