It is an outstanding product and really keeps the room warm and is completely quite. Love it. Only disappointment is that the thermostat is at the very bottom of the heater near the floor so it doesn’t give an accurate reading of the room temp if the floor is drafty. Needs to cycle on and off too much. But, if you just turn it on and let it go…it dose a great job. It keep my family room which has windows on three sides, a high ceiling, and sticks out into the wind swept land behind, toasty warm even when the outside temperature is in the single digits.

I don’t normally write a lot of reviews, but I wanted to write one about this heater.
First off, let me mention that I’m replacing a 32,000 btu ventless freestanding propane fireplace/stove with the small Rinnai. The remote failed on the 12 year old heater and it was expensive to replace everything.
I bought the smaller Rinnai and I was a little concerned that it wasn’t big enough for my sun porch. Boy, was I wrong. My sun porch is 12w x 16l x 8h with 2 skylights and all double pane windows.
Its 28 degrees and the wind is blowing 15mph. The room was 41 degrees when I turned it on. It was 51 degrees in half an hour. There is no doubt that I bought the correct heater.
This 10,000 btu heater works better than the 32,000 btu heater it replaced !!!
I figure that it’s because of the fan blowing the heat across the floor and recirculating instead of going straight to the ceiling.
I’m really impressed with this heater and I would recommend it to everyone.
I can’t believe how much better this thing is compared to the old stove type heater that was 3 times the btu rating.
If your thinking about buying one, do it. You wont be disappointed.
UPDATE:
Going into the third winter season with this propane heater. It still works perfectly.
I have a contractor doing some work and he is amazed at how well the heater works and has no smell. Me too.
Update:
Coming up on the next winter season that will make the heater 5 years old and it’s still working perfectly. It keeps my sun room at whatever temperature I want it to be.

Heats well but may not meet my needs. Holds heat at 2 degrees higher than set. Turns off at any power hitch and doesn’t turn back on when power restored. Turns itself off in the middle of the night. Can not trust it to heat the room while I’m away to prevent pipes from freezing.

Read the fine print that is only in the users manual. Will not work at my house located at 9200’. This was going in a new build and by the time I read the instructions, the return window had closed. Now I’m stuck with a heater that will not work where I live. Very frustrated and disappointed

We purchased two Rinnai heaters as our home flooded from a burst pipe and needed to replace our damaged Rinnai heaters. We have always been pleased with this product. We discovered that in error we purchased non direct vent, so reached out to both Amazon and manufacturer they are both unwilling to help their customer to exchange for the correct product. What a Shame!

I use it to heat a garage and it is maintaining exactly the temperature I want. I don’t need to have it super warm and on the low setting it stays between 48 – 50 degrees.
