I got this unit and another brand for two different purposes. I bought this to sanitize garden tools and hydroponics systems and the other one for house water and fruits.
I can state after using this model I would not want to use it on fruits and vegetables because it really warms up the water while running.

When I plugged it in to use I kept waiting for the ozone odor but could barely smell it. I purchased it last month and my 30 day return limit was up so I just bought a new one, which actually smells like ozone.

Amazing and I ordered a collapsible laundry basket to fill the water and wash my fruits and vegetables. . You wouldn’t believe how much dirt and wax you miss with just washing .( Chemicals we can’t see to ) It’s supper easy to use . I love this .

I’ve used it a few times and seem to be working. It’s easy to use, just turn on, set the time and go about your day. The smell, however is a little strong. I’ve read that it’s not good for the lungs, so I set it up in my sunroom. I wish I could put it in the kitchen, but it’s ok. I love it, though. I think it’s good value for the price. You really can’t put a price on peace of mind. Oh, and it’s not heave at all, I think it will go with me on vacation since it’s quite portable.

The ozone is very strong smelling. I know it is working though. I use it mostly for water, cleaning vegetables and bath water so open a window, put on a fan and am only using it for a few minutes so I am not worried about breathing it in.
