The dehumidifier is kitty approved! But actually, it really helped us in a pinch when our basement flooded. This is definitely a higher grade, well made dehumidifier that I’d recommend. Nice and big, and you can even have a hose hooked up to a bucket or inside drain to have more continuous use

If you’ve ever had a large water leak, you know what a terrible mess it can be. And the musty smell just lingers in the air forever. It’s my pet peeve with home ownership. Water issues. I get body chills just thinking about it. We’ve had several water issues over the decades that we’ve owned our house. And I hated everything about it. And the damage, so much damage, every single time. You have to have a dehumidifier when those things happen. All that being said, we just love this little unit. For its size, it can handle a large area with a lot of moisture in the air. We have it running straight into the drain, so we don’t need to go downstairs and check it all of the time. The unit is very efficient and so far it has done its job well. It’s nice looking and I wouldn’t hesitate to use it upstairs, if needed. I wouldn’t be the least bit embarrassed for anyone to see it in our living room. It’s easily cleaned. I wipe it down with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth. The holes on the front filter can get dust balls in them, so I brush them out, as needed. The filter is removable, which is also a money saver as you can just clean it off and put it back on. I love that it has an energy star rating, as our utility bills are high enough with the AC running. It operates quietly and is easy to move around with the wheels and the handle on top that folds down flat when not needed. I couldn’t find a weight on this, but it is easily carried up the stairs without any difficulty. We can highly recommend this dehumidifier. It can be a lifesaver when disaster hits your home or business.

I live in East Texas where it gets very humid. It’s bad enough some days with just the weather, but I also do alot of canning during the growing season. With all the steam and heat you can’t keep it cool in the kitchen for anything. I don’t use this dehumidifier all the time just more when I’m canning or it’s one of those truly miserable days. It’s easy to get out and set up and boy does it do an amazing job of drying up the damp steamy feeling in the air. It helps me work so much better and easier including my breathing. Since it’s more of a part time use – I don’t have a floor drain of course. So the only negative I can have is remembering to check the water pan and dump it. A couple of times while learning the machine I did let it get way too full. Luckily it’s the kitchen so a little water can’t hurt it. Other than that it’s a very easy effective way to make my life so much better.

Replaced an ancient and inefficient beast of a system with this, and it takes up a MUCH smaller footprint in my basement laundry room. Our dryer vents into a filtered box, not to the outdoors, which means that it sends all that humid/wet air right back into the basement— and this little dehumidifier handles it like a champ. It is easy to use, straight forward and intuitive, and conveniently sized. So far, so good! We’ll see how it holds up over time! I think that if it keeps going for years to come, the price and value are a good balance– but if it kicks in a few seasons (as I expect it will with a generic branding like “sweetcrispy”, it is NOT worth the asking price, and you’re better served by a reliable brand name you can trust.

I ordered this dehumidifier as we live in Houston which gets quite humid during the summer months, and the only way to dry out the air is to run the A/C alot which then makes the house too cold for my wife. So this dehumidifier is a good compromise where we can dry out the air in the house without having to run the A/C so much.
It works pretty well in our 2400 sf house, however I do close the doors to the spare bedrooms that aren’t occupied on most days. It’s quiet and pulls moisture out of the air very efficiently, we don’t have a floor drain so I have to empty out the water bucket about every 5 hours. This is also nice in case you have a need for distilled water, then this dehumidifier will automatically produce distilled water for you.

This dehumidifier is an excellent choice for controlling moisture in larger rooms or basements. It works quietly and efficiently, removing humidity and keeping the air comfortable. The included drain hose makes it easy to manage water removal, and the Energy Star rating means it’s eco-friendly and cost-effective. Perfect for any home looking to tackle humidity issues.

I ordered this unit for the basement in our mountain cabin. For a basement, I will admit that the area doesn’t feel basement-y at all. However, we started renovating the space a few months ago, and as we’ve pulled up old flooring and shifted things around, the area is feeling more humid and dank than before. It probably doesn’t help that we elected not to re-cover the exposed concrete flooring when we pulled up the icky laminate faux wood board flooring installed by a previous owner.
We wanted a unit large enough to make a tangible difference but we absolutely didn’t want a unit that required a hose drainage function. This unit provides the option of simply emptying the water tank. The dehumidifier is all-white so it blends nicely with the white walls in the open basement….it just sort of fades visually into the nearby wall. It’s also simple to maneuver if we want to shift it to a separate part of the large, open room (we don’t have any internal walls in our basement, so the entire thing is one huge space). We can feel the difference in the air when we run this unit. I also appreciate the timer feature, which enables us to meander to our main level or loft without having to return later to ensure the unit is shut off.
