I have a balcony where it is always cold and windy, but we’re not allowed to have a fire out there. I wanted to have the ambiance of a fire and I wanted adjustable heat. I bought this little heater based on reviews that it has great heat output for the size while being quiet and I totally agree. It’s nice and warm when I’m right in front of it, but there is also great heat spread indoors and it warms up a small room nicely. I did not notice an off-putting smell or sound.
The thing is, I almost returned it as soon as I received it. The fake fire was a little cheesy. I am no stranger to fake fires and have owned other faux fireplaces and would say out of the box this one wasn’t that realistic. There were just too many big flashes of red in it. In my opinion real fireplaces usually put out orangish light with just a few licks of red in the flames with the red mostly confined to the embers at the base of the fire.
Simple fix was I unscrewed the bottom panel (before screwing the legs on) and simply partially covered the 2 red bulbs with black electrical tape (high heat resistant, fire retardant) and left the 3 orange bulbs alone. I didn’t cover the entire red bulb, just the top in order to allow heat to dissipate and some red to show through. They are LED lights anyway they shouldn’t get very hot to begin with. This made the fire look SO much more realistic. Before screwing the bottom panel back on, I recommend turning only the light switch on just to check that you like the effect first bcs it’s a lot of screws to take in and out. If you are thinking of altering it this way then obviously you can’t change your mind later and return it.
I’m very happy with this purchase and glad I didn’t send it back. It really packs a punch for its size, super easy to move anywhere the only downside is no remote, but for such a small heater I didn’t expect one anyway.

So my partner and I were looking for a room / floor heater for a long time. Part of the room was always a bit chilly for her and my part was a bit warmer, and we were looking for a way to balance things out.
Then this gem of a heater grazed our search results in Amazon. We looked at so many. I’m a little bit picky with the look of heaters, but the 18-inch one looks magnificent. Sleek, just a glass pane on the front and no odd bars blocking the view. The heat output is wonderful, and is great for warming both feet and the surrounding area in front of the heater.
Best yet, it balances the heat in the room so it solves our problem!
The visualizer option looks great and hypnotizing. There is a switch for the heat and one for the visualizer. You can turn them on/off independently of each other.
The only minor drawback I might say is based on our specific room layout it would be nice to have a slightly longer cord by maybe one foot. But that’s nothing a small heavy duty extension cord wouldn’t fix. and honestly it already fits it its prime location with the cord it comes with.
I am using it right now to heat up my cold feet and it’s wonderful!!
It’s like having a portable fireplace.

I bought this heater mainly for my two little dogs. They love laying in the sun all summer long and they are both getting older and thrive on the warmth. With winter coming, and I live in Oregon, I wanted them to still be able to get that warmth every morning and throughout the day. So I decided to purchase this faux fireplace. They absolutely love it, especially my 13 year old chihuahua. So, this will do the job that I bought it for.
The down side is that it is smaller than I expected, which is okay. But the heater dial which enables you to control the temperature doesn’t really do that. It doesn’t matter if you have it all the way up for turned all the way down, it puts out the same temperature of heat and forced air. It will still work for me, though. If you are wanting something that can operate on low as well as high, this probably isn’t the one you want.
Update: After spending more time in front of this, especially tonight because I have a sick dog who prefers to sleep here, I am noticing that the heat is a little less intense when the dial is turned almost all the way to the left. I am definitely thankful I bought this purchase when I did. My chihuahua really needed the warmth.

I have changed the stars because this is a powerful little heater. My chihuahua will sleep in front of it when it is off in hopes that it will magically turn on. 😂

Small, quiet and even on low, heats up my living room. I face north, have 3 large windows in a small living room and the building heat couldn’t keep up with colder nights. Sure, living on the West Coast means we are more damp the cold, but even at or below zero (32F), low heat is all i needed. Super easy to set up – just screw on the feet!

It’s decent for what it is, it’s warm, quiet and small, which is what I needed. When the heat is off you can barely hear it, the video is it with heat on max. Only fault is the fire is very unrealistic, it’s really red.

I first bought this heater in 2020 and totally forgot to write a review. I have a small 2 bedroom apartment (less than 1,000 sq ft) and I live at 3,700 elevation in the alpine town of Mount Shasta, ca. Winters here can be bitterly cold! I have propane heat and that’s wayyyy too expensive to depend on. I was going through a new space heater every winter and wanted something that would actually last more than one season. After reading dozens of reviews for different heaters similar to this one, I ordered this.
I first heat my home to 80 with the central heat, turn that off and then kick this one on. Surprisingly it maintained the heat for my entire apartment! Always reliable and it didn’t run up my electric bill more than $25 more per month. I typically ran it for 13+ hours per day. It lasted for about three seasons until the fireplace light stuck and wouldn’t turn off and I’m paranoid about fire since having a house fire years ago so I decided it’s best to just replace it. It’s also visually soothing! I’d definitely recommend this for really good evenly distributed heat.
My son also bought one after seeing mine and loves it!

Great unit at a great price and a nice, compact size. My only complaint is the colors of the flame. There’s a very pretty and realistic golden orange but they added a bright red, which looks SO fake. If the manufacturer tweeked the color it would be perfect! I’m an artist so I do look at color differently than most 🙂

Calienta bastante rápido una habitación de 9m2, el efecto de flama se ve bastante agradable y aunque es un poco más pequeña de lo que esperaba, funciona bastante bien. El recibo de la luz no se incremento demasiado en la temporada en que la utilicé, aunque se botó la pastilla al tenerla prendida junto con la lavadora, el microondas y otros electrodomésticos pequeños, dejando entrever qué si tiene un consumo bastante alto de energía. Muy buen producto, quedé satisfecha.
