This is a great little heater to hide in an office, since it’s quiet and the output works well.
The problem (as mentioned in other reviews) is that the fan blades seem to shift forward over time. The fan will start to make noise (especially when starting up) and eventually will not run at all since it gets stuck against the front of the heater housing.
You can remedy the fan blade issue by opening it up and pushing the plastic blade assembly back onto the shaft a bit. To do that you need a long (6″ works) #1 phillips driver for the screws on the bottom/back of the heater and one of the top screws. The other screw that needs to be removed on the top/back was a security screw for me (how dumb) so you will need a small spanner security driver for that. Don’t remove the screws in the middle of the back, those hold the motor assembly onto the case. Then just push the fan blades back a little and reassemble.
I have only had to push the fan blades back once after 2 years, if it does it again I will add some adhesive to the shaft to stop the movement.
It’s kinda silly the manufacturer didn’t notice this problem? Do they test these things?

It’s useful and worth the money but only for small space .

Funciona pero definitivamente para un espacio muy pequeño, tal vez cómo un cubículo con puerta cerrada.

Heats large area quickly. Would recommend and did buy a second one.

This is my second Vornado fan. My first one lasted for about six years until I dropped it and something broke inside. I immediately ordered another one because I can’t live without one for about eight months out of the year! Don’t expect it to heat an entire room, but it’s great to have it close when sitting still. I keep mine on the lower shelf of my coffee table to keep my feet warm when I read or work on my laptop. I have a Black and Decker heater at work, but it’s much louder and moves across the desk as it vibrates. This one is quiet, nice-looking, and designed not to tip or move. I also just discovered it has a fan-only mode (the middle position on the switch)! I highly recommend it.

Second update: The new Vornado heater is already making a clicking noise. I’m not sure what is going on with Vornado’s quality control but the VH202 has a ridiculous rate of failure. How can a heater that sits on my desk and is never moved fail so many times?
Update: I contacted Vornado about the issue and they sent me a brand new VH202. Vornado’s customer service really seems to take care of their customers. However, I admit I would have liked the originally purchased product to last longer. It only took a few business days for the heater to arrive. It is currently sitting on my desk and working perfectly.
Thanks Vornado!

This is the third Vornado VH202 heater I have purchased. The first one died after 3 years, the second is great and my wife uses it often. However, the third one which sits on my desk and never moves has developed issues. The fan blades used to spin around without touching anything inside the case. Now when I turn the heater on, the fan blades scrape the front grill and make a terrible noise. Sometimes after startup the noise goes away. I guess the blades balance out and move away from the grill. However, sometimes the fan blades continue to make noise until I shut down and power back on.
I have owned a combination of six Vornado fans/heaters over the last 4 – 5 years. A year ago, a standing heater unit’s cord got so hot the plug melted a bit. Now this desktop one is having issues, different issues but issues none the less. I hope Vornado ups the quality of their products as it seems like more and more products are having issues.

As the chill of winter settles in, finding a reliable heating solution becomes paramount. Enter the small yet mighty heater that promises to keep you warm and cozy during the coldest months.
Its compact design makes it perfect for small spaces, whether it’s your office cubicle, bedroom, or RV.
There is no oscillating function but it does ensure even heat distribution throughout my small living room & bedroom.
While the heater may not be suitable for heating large spaces, it excels in its intended purpose: providing efficient and reliable heating in small areas. Its compact size makes it a must-have for anyone looking to stay warm and comfortable during the colder months. Overall, I highly recommend the for anyone in need of a reliable heating solution for small spaces.

Based on a Wirecutter review, I ordered, but unfortunately, both arrived broken.

I purchased this heater for the office since I sit near a window and it can get chilly. I also own a vornado personal desk fan as well. This manufacturer in my opinion puts out a great product. Their products work great and hold up well over time so it made sense to go with their heater. I am so glad that I did because this little heater works great for my small work space. I used it in my bedroom for two days after reading some reviews that it let off a burning smell right out of the box. I really didn’t notice a smell after about 5 minutes. There are two heat settings and one fan only settings which I didn’t realize it had (shown in picture). I don’t see where I’d use this setting, but I believe it’s to circulate the air. No heat comes out with the fan only setting. The air flow is the same for high and low air settings – one is just noticeably warmer than the other. I find that I use the high setting the most but I like to be warm more than just “comfortable”. It also has a safety feature that turns off the unit should it get knocked over (shown in picture). This heater will not heat a small room. It works best when in direct contact of the air flow just like a fan. I would go with one of their larger models if you’re looking to warm your room/bedroom, etc. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a great heater for a small space.

This little heater uses half the energy of a standard heater. It’s enough to keep your feet warm on those chilly days and nights. I got this one as a back up to an existing Tornado 750 W heater I got several years ago. It was a model sold by Target Canada so was excluded from a safety recall of those sold in the USA. This new one has a different model designation but is the same size and power as the original – it’s a great value as a personal heater. Get one while you can!

Super small and light weight, easy to move room to room.
There’s a safety feature to turn off while it’s being moved around which I guess is nice.
Overall super handy to have around the house, useful for drying things
