***UPDATE*** I liked this heater so much I bought a second one. Soon after purchase, I notified the original heater was running hot and causing a drag on my electrical panel. I ended up getting my electrical panel upgraded since it was old as hell but also reached out to customer support with my concerns. They responded quickly and after I sent them photos of the unit plus proof that I disabled it, they shipped me a brand new one at no charge. Absolutely incredible! I have two heaters and a fan from vornado and am very satisfied with their products and service. Reminder to everyone to never leave a space heater on unattended and always unplug when not in use. I do think my old panel probably had something to do with it and I still believe these are the safest space heaters out there.
I have a finished basement with electric base heaters. It costs an absolute fortune to run them plus the one in the main lounge area doesn’t even work. With the temperatures dropping I needed a reliable space heater. Problem is my electrical wiring is old and basically every heater on the market starts a fire it seems. Spent a ton of time researching and found this model by vornado to be the safest. It does such a good job of heating the room and drying the air all while being whisper quiet. I have it on an extra floor tile on top of the area rug to be extra cautious and i always unplug when not in use. It’s comforting to know I can enjoy my basement lounge without freezing or setting the house ablaze.

Although not as hot (using my hand in front of the heater) as some other heaters I’ve a had, the heater was very effective for my 10 x 13 room. The heater is being used in an RV with large slide-outs. I tested with the outside temp at 34 degrees F. I suspect the heat spreads out right at the outlet grille, so my hand test doesn’t represent all of the heat being output. I think the heater took 5 minutes longer to heat the room compared to another 1500 watt heater I have. The room was less drafty and felt comfortable in every part of the room. The room thermometer on the heater was within 1 degree of a portable thermometer I have, so there was no need to set it to a different temperature to get desired results. Quality of materials is generally excellent. Although I’ll admit the remote could have been a bit larger, it was reasonably well made. Reading the small remote buttons can be a challenge…especially in poor light…but I saw no reason to downgrade the product for this reason. Once you know that “-” is on the left and “+” is on the right…with power top and Mode at the bottom…there isn’t a need to look at the buttons when using the remote anyway. One final positive point…this is the most quiet air-blowing heater I have tried…and I tried about 5 before settling on this one. If a quiet room to sleep in is important, you can’t go wrong with this – unless you need the perfect silence of a passive radiator-type heater.
Now, there are negatives. On low power, this thing is almost worthless unless you are heating a broom closet or sitting 3 feet away. Heat is reduced…as well as the fan speed. This “double whammy” makes low power impractical for all but a few situations as I see it. If I needed low power, I’d have rated this product two or three stars. Product quality was good to excellent, but not perfect. There was a slight imperfection (dimple) in the stainless steel on top – so this company does not always make everything perfect. Maybe they would make it right if I exchanged it, but it’s not worth the hassle to return it. Back to the remote, it only works if you are pointing it directly at the heater – it’s less tolerant than other remotes I’ve had. It’s not an issue once you know how to use it. Lastly, the outer stainless steel chassis had oily stains/smudges right out of the box. Easy to clean with a little bit of dish washing detergent and finish off wiping with rubbing alcohol…but this should never happen with a new product – and especially a higher-end product.
I intentionally bought the more expensive 600 model just for the stainless steel look. Buy the 500 to save money as there is no other difference. Would I buy this again? You betcha. Would I carefully inspect the craftsmanship and functionality after receiving the product? Also, you betcha!

First thing, right off the bat, the remote did not work. I changed the battery, and the remote still did not work. I have found that the only way to turn off the unit is to set a timer to get it to turn off. If you push the power button (like you would for any other electronic item), it doesn’t turn off. Apparently it has to go through this whole process to turn off, but it still doesn’t turn off. It does heat the room nicely without overheating the room. But since it doesn’t easily turn off when you are warm enough, you have to reduce the temp, but I am still trying to figure out how to keep it at the temp that I want. I’ll edit this review if I find that I am going about operating this thing all wrong.

Mal producto, a veces funciona y a veces no! Cambió a grados farenheit y no se puede regresar a Celsius.

The fan blade was not attached and was rattling around inside, along with the nut and spacer meant to hold on the blade.
Once I fixed the blade, the heater didn’t perform well. Sucks a lot of power and doesn’t produce much heat as well as being annoyingly not userfreindly. I’d much prefer it just had buttons and or dial to change the settings.
Very disappointing.

Ordered on May 8, 2023 on the tail end of winter to help keep the home office / room a bit more cozy from the extended winter temps here. I really liked how well this unit worked. Nifty features, and a nice steady source of warmth. So I ordered a second one, see below. ʘ‿ʘ
Ordered on September 7, 2023 the second unit. OMGoodness, very pleased with both of them. The fall chill low 50’s at night has arrived, however, you wouldn’t know it in my home as it’s 72°F thanks to these space heaters. ʘ‿ʘ
I’ve had time to set with both of them then observe how the house feels. One feature I really appreciate is the automatic function of the unit. Once the desired temperature has been reached, it will cycle lower for a while, then, it will cycle higher for a bit, as needed to help maintain the room temp.
One thing you need to keep in mind is that these are not blast furnaces that will instantly warm a space. Like anything, it takes a bit 30 minutes or so depending on space size to reach desired temperature.
I’ll usually, first thing in the morning set to “High” setting for about an hour or so. Then, when the space is warm enough and the unit cycles down, I’ll switch to the “Low” setting, and leave it until I switch them off for the day.
All in all I would recommend these units based on my experience with them. Wish I would have known about them sooner. ヽ(‘â–½`)/
