A few things I like about this. The big 5gallon tank, here in Arizona, I use roughly 2 gallons per day to maintain 45% humidity. For me, that’s all I want but it is able to do up to 95% depending on location. Probably here in AZ would be difficult ever getting 95%.
But the automatic mode to maintain set humidity, is one of the main reason for buying this product.
It’s very quiet and puts out a lot of humidity and yes it stops once it reaches setpoint.
I have it about 6” off the wall and no residue at all.
I definitely recommend this product. We have been using it for about 3 weeks, it maintains our humidity and is very easy to clean.

When you live in the desert climate, moisture in the air is lacking much of the time; especially in the summer months when we have the air conditioner going all day long. This humidifier is a great solution to dry, arid climates. The coverage is quite amazing. Our house is 2200 sq ft; this is sufficient. You may have some foggy windows if you are running it all night, but that just means it’s doing its job. There are setting options that make this customizable, as well as a timer. Consider purchasing distilled water if you live in a hard water area. The unit is lightweight and quite portable.

This thing is pretty big, so obviously it takes a lot of water. We ran ours only at night (about 8 hours) and we’d have to refill it every 2 days. Refilling it takes some time.. it does work well and puts off a lot of mist. Very quiet when working. The on/off & adjustment buttons are quiet loud.
Also, we have to have it pretty high off the ground so it doesn’t soak the floor.

Size is perfect, no leakage, it’s best to place it where you want it and then fill – otherwise it’s very heavy. I like the versatility of cold or hot mist. No filters to worry about. Makes the house feel comfortable and the added bonus of having a remote makes this a great buy!
