Es buen producto (vivo en Pachuca, México). En estas olas de calor consecutivas me ha funcionado muy bien. Símplemente el precio es un poco alto, pero a cambio casi no hace ruido y tampoco ha aumentado demaciado mi consumo de electricidad.

My room was 95 degrees in the summer and I should have gotten this Whynter ARC-1230WN 14,000 BTU NEX Inverter Dual Hose Cooling AC sooner.
Installation was pretty easy, though it’s large and heavy so be prepared to have a dolly or help. It comes with a window kit that can fit large vertical windows or horizontal ones so you don’t need to buy a custom window kit for an extra $50. Setting that up wasn’t hard, it comes with 4 plastic pins that snap into place and can be removed with either a tap of a hammer or pliers. It can easily fit windows of 5+ ft tall.
AC works really well. It can connect to your smartphone which took only a minute to setup. It also has a remote that you can use as well. The humidity isn’t high where I live so there’s no issue with water draining so far. It has two outlets though, a bottom drain and a halfway up drain with a hose for constant drain if you wish.
It cooled a room of about 500 sq ft from 95 to 70 under an hour in a sealed room. The air it produces feels cold but it has several modes depending on what you need. Auto mode will automatically use cooling or just fans depending on your temp set and the temp of the room within 5 degrees. It also can dehumidify the air but I haven’t used that since its not humid.
Ultimately its a powerful AC that you can remotely activate via smartphone or set a schedule for if you want the room cool before you get there.
The only downside might be that its loud if you’re nearby and the fans are on high. On low fan speed, you can work right next to it and its tolerable.

Used to own the slightly cheaper model that had a lot less bells and whistles. It was fine for two years before the drainage light wouldn’t go away. Come to find a loose piece was the cause for improper drainage and resulted in a swamp within the AC. Which brought me to purchase this unit.
Right off the bat I was incredibly impressed with its versatility and provision of extra materials for an easy and snug installation. Instructions were clear and it was essentially plug-n-play after mounting the window bracket.
I love the complimentary app and all its features. This unit really cools the room and its dual hose design is much better than other dual hose units. It’s not as externally hot and is actually screwed into place whereas the older unit was clipped in and those clips broke very early on. It’s also pretty quiet for how much it cools a room and the inverter is great for only doing as much as it needs to which is great for power consumption. The swing option helps distribute the cool air throughout the room and you can even adjust the swing angle.
Overall really love this AC unit, it feels super premium and worth its pricepoint. I will likely update my review after some time has passed, but it’s already doing far better than its cheaper alternative.

Purchased to replace the Samsung 12000btu unit that’s was 15 years old. Used to cool a bedroom that is always the hottest room in house due to the sun hitting it and old construction. The AC cools the 18*20 room from 75 to 67 in about 1/2 hour. We found no issues so far. It’s super quiet as long as you allow it to run on auto. On high it’s about as noticeable as other units are on low. It has a usable smart interface that works with alexa Google home and IFTTT using various voice commands. The remote has a temp sensor built in so the air is cool where you want it. All in all were paying less electric bill for a cooler room.

Noise Level: I’m most impressed with how quiet the compressor is on this unit. I’m used to the older tech where every time the compressor turns on, it makes this really loud BOOONNNNNNGGG / humming noise. Traditionally, the compressor has been the source of most of the noise coming from the unit. With this Whynter unit, you barely notice the compressor has engaged as it only makes a slight, high-pitched noise. All the noise (which can be considerable) comes from the speed of the fan BUT, you can control that to your preference. I leave my unit on auto and it rarely runs at high fan speed but YMMV depending on your situation.
Cooling Performance: Cooling is much more efficient with the dual hose design. My old unit with a single hose was running more often to keep the room cool and I believe this is specifically due to the dual hose design. If anything, this unit tends to cool my room TOO much and I’ve been trying to strike the right balance, which for me has been 73 full auto with “i sense” enabled. I’ll discuss “i sense” in the physical remote section below.
Features: I would say this product is fully loaded with all the features you want and some extras too. I am not using the wireless app to control the device but, it does have some app-unique features such as setting schedules, check function (which is a self-diagnosis test for the health of the machine), boost mode (max cool / max fan speed), express run (this is where you can program and activate a specific mode, temp, and fan speed with 1 button), and of course, the convenience of controlling the unit remotely.
Physical Remote: the physical remote is simple and easy to use but, it’s range is finicky which is the only negative thing I have to say about this unit overall. For example, on the remote, there is a button labeled “i sense” which uses the remote as a temperature sensor / thermostat. This is a feature I have on my old unit, and I was glad to see it included with this Whynter unit. The way it works is that the remote reports back its temperature sensor reading every 3 minutes back to the main unit which reacts appropriately. The key here is making sure the remote has a clear line of sight to the main unit and isn’t too far away. Max range of the remote is 8 meters / 26 feet and the remote needs to be pointing DIRECTLY at the main unit. I’ve found that it’s very easy for the remote to fall out of communication with the main unit so, I test by placing the remote where I want it to sit and then hitting the temp up or down button to make sure the main unit reacts. It’s quite sensitive to line-of-sight issues so, test communication thoroughly when relying on “i sense.” If the remote cannot communicate with the main unit after 7 minutes, “i sense” automatically disengages. At least there is a small icon on the remote (which is shaped like generic person’s head and shoulders) indicating the feature is active.
Window Kit: The unit comes with a VERY large set of panels for window installation. I have a 36 inch wide window which was the perfect, wrong size. My window was too big for only using the panel with the cutout for the dual hose so, I added the extension panel. But the extension panel was too big as it covered 70% of the exhaust cutout when fully ended on a 36 inch wide window. I read the manual and it said to cut the extension panel to size…which I easily did using a circular saw after measuring. You will need to be prepared to cut the extension panel to size if your window width is larger than 28 ½ inches but smaller than 42 inches. This is a VERY common range for window sizes so, be prepared to cut the extension panel.
Overall: I love this air conditioner and can attest to the increased efficiency of the dual-hose design. It cools very well and operates well by setting a temp and then using the auto features. Worth the extra cash money for the quiet compressor / dual-hose design.

I have had a few portable ACs over the years and this one takes the cake easily. It was super easy to install, runs very quiet, and is very power efficient. It keeps my open living room and kitchen cool even when competing with 90 degree weather outside. The dual hose design prevents the hose from radiating tons of heat back into the room like most portable ACs do.
I will never buy a different Portable AC, its worth the extra money to get this over a slightly cheaper product.
