I dried all the flowers & greenery from my bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, and even the corsages/boutonnieres for shadow boxes. The flowers look so alive and the quality is stunning!! I can’t believe I was able to do it all on my own, when previously I was lookingat vendors who did this but for $400. This was the best purchase by far, with the value for how little I spent making my own shadowbox that totally looked professional.

This silica is great for drying fresh flowers in the microwave. I recently lost my aunt and have a ton of flowers to preserve- after a learning curve and a few krispy flowers- this stuff has made the process go soooo much faster!
My only complaint, sometimes it sticks to the flower and will not come off! I have several “crystallized” looking flowers bc the silica is just stuck, and I don’t want to break the leaves trying to dust them any harder.

I had never used silica gel crystals before but I was amazed at how easy they are to use. I had some sentimental flowers I wanted to preserve and these did the trick. I needed a lot of silica and it was a good value for the size of the bag. The flowers dried in a short period of time and the color changing crystals help me make sure I had fully dried them out. I was able to preserve my flowers for a lifetime !

I hang dry flowers all the time but recently wanted to figure out how to get roses to preserve their color and shape. The silica gel really helps and it’s amazing. There was some trial and error in the beginning. Some flowers will fall about even when using the silica gel, but they maintain their color and shape. I have been storing the dried flowers in a tin container until I figure out what to do next. It is great opening the container because I get a strong smell of roses.
Definitely worth it if you want to try to preserve color and/or shape of flowers.
